Rating: Summary: Uncertain, You Are Review: Overall, I've greatly enjoyed the Jedi Apprentice series. It's not Harry Potter, but it gets the job done. Defenders of the Dead was a highlight, with an ending that left this jaded, cynical adult gasping with shock.Unfortunately, The Uncertain Path leads to too much boredom. Obi-Wan mopes and Qui-Gon sulks, while the Youth on Melida/Daan regress into the children that they are. A few things salvage the book. Yoda giving Qui-Gon a chewing out (sorry, "Yoda a chewing out giving Qui-Gon, hmmmm?"), a touching scene with Cerasi's father, and the lack of quick resolution to the Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon conflict. Hope remains high for book 7.
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: I have just started reading this wonderfull series. This has been the best so far because it was so..different. I enjoyed seing Obi-Wan's struggle by himself. The experiences in this book will be something that affects this character for a long time. It was refreshing to see that this series is not going to be all, master and apprentice going out on another mission. This installment was about character and emotion as well as adventure and excitement. I would not reccomend picking this up if you haven't read the others though...this is definately part of a series!
Rating: Summary: The Best! Review: After making friends with the Young's leaders, Nield and Cerasi, Obi-Wan has feeled that he had made the right choice in leaving the Jedi Order to become part of the Young. Qui-Gon is no longer around to help him so Obi-Wan must survive only with the help of his new friends. Tensions are rising now that the Young have won the battle and are in charge of Melida-Daan. Cerasi feels that they should help the people first and leave the burial homes that hold the dead and their holograms alone because her family is their and so is Nield's. Nield, on the other hand, could care less about his family and the people of Melida-Daan; he wants to destroy the burial houses so that no one will ever have to remember the battles. Not only are the Young divided, but Obi-Wan is caught in the arguing and this time Qui-Gon can't advise him. How far will these tensions go? Will Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon even become Master and Padawan again? Read "The Uncertain Path" and see for yourself.
Rating: Summary: Death Comes to Eveyone, But I Didn't Expect This Review: An extremely terrifying and intense book in the Jedi Apprentice series, The Uncertain Path is highly unique and it is by far my favorite book in the series. Extraordinarily written, it is sure never to make readers put it down. Obi Wan has left the Jedi. He is now part of a revolution with his friends to make peace on Melida/Daan, the planet he resides on. His Master Qui Gon Jinn could never feel more betrayed and simply tries to forget his apprentice, Obi Wan. The pain of broken bonds is shattering. Both of them are gravely torn, yet both are trying to strengthen themselves and forget one another. But when Melida/Daan is thrown into an enormous war, the pain is becoming even more hard to bear as Obi Wan watches his dreams being torn apart and Qui Gonn finds trouble back on Coruscant. The two may never see each other again -- and as hatred and pain tear apart everything, both of their paths grow more uncertain by the moment. This was a fantastic addition to the series, and each chapter is astonishing. Jedi Apprentice soars on with The Uncertain Path, a book that many will find as a favorite in the series, besides being a definite classic.
