Rating: Summary: This book will put you in AMAZMENT Review: This book was GRATE everthing that I look in for a book was in Jedi Apprentice #6 as was there as in every Jedi Apprentice so far, it made me laugh, cry, and in some parts it made cry out NO! YES! and NO THAT CAN'T HAPPEN! But the path of Obi-Wans and Qui-Gons relationahip right now is very fragile. Which is exciting to think that it can only grow stronger. This book is a must read. cant put down book and I recamend it to anyone, and everyone.
Rating: Summary: I Can't Wait!!! Review: Another nail biting, tear jerking installment in the Jedi Apprentice series. And Jude Watson isn't letting up. The end leaves you craving the next chapter as much as the end of 5. Obi-Wan is my favorite Star Wars character and I've found there's far too little written about him. This series wets my appetite. I would love to see an adult series written around Obi-Wan. Perhaps the new series beginning in May 2000 will be the answer. Till then I await No 7 eagerly.
Rating: Summary: Yet another excellent job by Jude Watson Review: Book 6 in the Jedi Apprentice series is suspenceful, emotional, and all in all interesting. I've read the other 5 and this one I could not put down. Jude Watson writes so you feel the emotions the characters feel, you feel happy when they do and you feel sad when they do. it wouldn't hurt for the books to be a little longer but other than that I think all of them are great and I can't wait till the 7th comes out. Even though you know what happens in the end, in Episod 1, these books make you feel like you're not sure if that is what really will happen. I constantly find myself convincing myself that every thing will work out. These are excellent books and I suggest them to anyone who likes Star Wars, or Sci-fi
Rating: Summary: What a great Read! Review: I'll admit it straight off, I am not exactly a young reader. Let's say I'm young at heart. I adore this whole series. This one had me in tears at times. The author has captured the characters so beautifully. And even although we do know that they become Master and pupil, it's hard not to worry right now. I think this relationship building is great and gives you real insight into both characters. I also enjoyed the other characters in this book. Cerasi was a very special character, as was her Father. I also like the fact, that although the books are written for a younger audience, they don't exclude us oldies. I can't wait for the next one.
Rating: Summary: CHARACTERIZATION MATTERS! Review: Wonderful! I can't say enough good things about this book or about the series. Why do we have to wait so long between books? I find myself completely enthralled with the emerging relationship between the young Padawan and his Master and every installment gives me a new appreciation for them as they appear in The Phantom Menace. Any chance Jude Watson will get to write any of the adult SW books? <hint hint> (not that the "Young Adult" label has kept this 30something from devouring this series!)
Rating: Summary: This Series Fails to Disappoint Review: I must admit that I read this entire book one incredibly slow and boring night at work. But the further into the book I got, I found it increasingly difficult to hold my composure! My heart was continually breaking. While you could consider this book "To be COntinued," the ended isn't nearly as bad as the end of "Defenders of the Dead." Thank goodness, I don't think I could handle two endings like that in a row. Now once again I have to wait another two months for something which will only take a couple hours to read. But the two months wait is well worth it, for I will continue to say that this series is far better than any of the other Star Wars stories I have read. To give you an idea of what I mean, I started reading "Vector Prime" about two months ago, but I haven't gotten any further than the second or third chapter. It failed to grab at me in the way this series has. My co-worker didn't quite understand what could be so great about a "children's" book, and perhaps it is something you need to read to believe. But if you haven't already, go ahead and take the chance. If you love Star Wars (new and/or old) I'm certain you will find these stories to be true to all the concepts George Lucas has created. And that is something I cannot say for "Vector Prime" and all those others.
Rating: Summary: Compelling to read! Review: I would like to add to the other reviews. The Jedi Apprentice books are wonderful because we all know what will happen in "The Phantom Menace". And yet, these books are written in such a way that you are uncertain about the futures of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn. "The Uncertain Path" has all the elements of a Action/Mystery story and is very compelling to read. The characters are portrayed in a very human and Jedi fashion. Most importantly, this book is entertaining.
Rating: Summary: Not another cliff-hanger! I can't handle the suspense! Review: I was soooo excited to finally read this one! I've been going crazy since I finished #5 - well done on building the suspense! And the angst - I nearly cried... ok, I admit, I got teary - I won't spoil what happens for the reader, but take your kleenex on this journey. A teeny-weeny gripe though: In all the other Episode 1 info, Obi-Wan is Qui-Gon's third apprentice, yet in this one, he's only his second. And how is Qui-Gon a Master if he's never raised a Padawan to knighthood before? (similarly for Tahl) Overall though, this was absolutely wonderful and you've got me waiting for #7 with the same passion as I've waited for this one.
Rating: Summary: So Touching Review: This book is so touching. The pain felt by both that is displayed throughout is excellent. I loved it. It touched my heart in ways that only the first one had been able to do. As for being the culprit, I had already guessed before he was found out. And I have a suspect for who the other man might be . . . I had a feeling someone would die. It was a gut instict. Perhaps the only thing I hadn't seen coming was the ending. Why does it have to end there? Now I have to wait a whole nother month, and I don't even know what the title is. How's that for suspense! Anyway, it was a great book. Keep the good work up. And 'May the Force be with you.' I have one question, when does Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon get back together? Is is soon?
