Rating: Summary: Very engaging Review: I have really enjoyed reading most of Lackey's works. This one was actually one of the best.
Rating: Summary: I'm in agreement with all the rest of the comments. Review: I loved these books the first time a read them. Didn't need to buy a second copy of what I already have on my shelf!
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT!!! Review: I read lots of Lackey's books and this I would have to say was one of her best! What is this that I hear of a reprint? Is there a continuation from this? It was so good I was disapointed when it ended! email me at laban@cable-lynx.net
Rating: Summary: Where's the Good News? Review: I read this book published as Knight of Ghosts and Shadows and Summoned to the Tourney. I really relate to the characters, especially Eric who doesn't always seem to choose the best or most noble path...very human. As with most of Ms. Lackey's books, the contents have a lot of power and passion. All the characters have taken up residence in my imagination. I have been eagerly awaiting another installment on this series; the story is left open for it even though the book has closure. I want to be the first in line to hear the good news...that we've got a new installment, not a reprint!
Rating: Summary: Ahm....I'm sure I've read this before! Review: I was excited when I bought this book as I thought it was a brand new Fantasy by Lackey. She is a favourite of mine and I purchased the book on her name alone... mistake... I should have read the back of the cover which states in fine print that this was published as Knight of Ghosts and Shadows and Summoned to Tourney. I read these books some years back and really enjoyed them at that time, hence the (8) rating. However, I feel somewhat betrayed (and scammed). I don't like this idea of changing the titles of previous works and not placing some indication on the FRONT of the book, in large print, that this was published previously. I will be returning this book to my local bookstore (and explaining to them the reason why).
Rating: Summary: *sigh* Review: I was wary of these books when I first got into Misty's writing, but I loved them once I read them. When I heard from a friend that they were coming out with this book, I was like "Great! More of Kory and Beth and Eric!" Then she got the book, and told me it was a reprinting of _Knight of Ghosts and Shadows_ and _Summoned to Tourney_ and I was heartbroken. I understand that Ms. Lackey is hard at work on other books, but I would REALLY love to see some more of the Urban Fantasies. Valdemar can wait a little.

Rating: Summary: Just to overcome the... Review: I'd normally give this book only 4 stars because I Never give 5, but the ... who only gave it one star based on the fact that they did not undertand the writing forced me to up it one. This book is great. The situations are realistic. One detractor complained about 'endless near-death escpaes'(something like that), but that is the one thing that I identified with. Eric is battling himself as much as any 'villian' in the book. His refusal to acknowledge his role leads, as it would in real life, to many pitfalls and situations. If you deny yourself, life seems to constantly put you in bad situations and frustrate you to no end until you get in line and follow your destiny. This book is very good and there are lessons to be learned in it. And if you don't like it, go back to reading "Star Trek" or something by Stephen King. :P
Rating: Summary: ~~WONDERFUL~~MAGICAL~~ Review: I, personally, LOVED the book. All these others have read the ones before, and i hadn't. The other names of the book which have already been shown, looked boring. I do hope that she writes more in this series. It will truly keep you entertained throughout! You can't put it down! Lovable characters which you can easily care for, and varied plots. I WANT MORE!
Rating: Summary: Great! I've read it so many times I've lost count :) Review: If you have any meager interest in irish folklore, elvin folklore, sci-fi, fantasy, or role playing games, this is probably the book for you. Mercedes Lackey(who is now my favorite writer) introduces the possibility of elves in our real world. She uses elvin lore and a touch of humor as she guides a street going musician from the drunken tents of a rennosaince fair to being a powerful bard with elves as allies. A great book to be read over and over again, I recommend it for anyone. (watch out for Beth though, she loses her mouth sometimes.)
