Rating: Summary: "Is it gross?" Review: I had my sister, who had not read the book yet, ask me "Is it gross?" I had to answer her plainly, "It depends on, if you have ever read a murder mystery." If you havn't it is highly likely that some of it might shock you, but if you have you should know it is not as bad as most murder mysterys. A note to parents: Jude Watson is extremally careful. She makes sure to not frighten her 9-12 reveiwers, but if you son/daughter has a difficult time with anything romotly discusting I would sugjest a pre-reading of the book by the parent. For my part I think it's an excellent book and deserves 5 stars and more!
Rating: Summary: It was great.........but a little grusome. Review: I still gave it five stars though, because even though it was grusome it was no worse the your usual murder mysterys. Another thing that bothered me before I read it was the fact that the cover was horrible! I didn't even know if I would be aloud to read it because of the horrid cover. Cliff Neilson is good at drawing but I think he gets a little carried away. To all those who are not sure they should read it because of the cover, I will say that; it still is a good book and that telling a 'book by it's cover' in this case isn't an entirly good idea :) But I will also warn you that if you do not like murder mysterys then DO NOT read this book! I don't mind them, and I don't think this one is as bad as your Aurthor Connon Doyle, but if you're the kind of person who "Never get's used to death." Even when it's just written out, I wouldn't recommend it to you. So in the end I very much recommend this book to those who like the exciting edge of your seat, and be forwarned, leaves you hanging kind of books. Beleive me, if you are 'dieing' to read The Evil Experiment, it will make NO sence whatsoever if you don't read this book first! So please read! Note to Jude: they are getting better and better. Keep it up!
Rating: Summary: Exelent! Review: If you havn't read jude watsons books, you are missing something. These books keep getting better and better! For those of you who have read #10, this is even better. Its much more exiting. This is a must read book. This is the best star wars book there is. A super ending. Just awsome. May the force be with you.
Rating: Summary: Can't wait for the next............... Review: If your a jedi apprentice fan, you just have to read this book. Jude has made this book so interesting so that when you realise that the book is coming to an end you have to read the next book to know whats going to happen. This book is quite interesting because you get to see some of Qui Gon's friends outside of the temple. You also get to see how Jedi Knights can cope with bounty hunters.I warn you, if you read this book, your going to read the next two books to see the end of this adventure.
Rating: Summary: Good, but not great Review: Jedi Apprentice #11 is a good book, although i've found not as good as the last books. I find books 1-8 the most exciting because they involve a villian in relation to the main characters. Anyway I thought it was a good book, like all the Jedi Apprentice books are! The thing is the villian seems to have no real motive so i've been hanging on "whys" through the whole book.
Rating: Summary: Good, actualy too Good Review: Jude Watson dose it again. Jedi Apprentice #11 was just too good, but I had a really big problem, becouse when I turned the last page there was no more to read. Jude Watson's elegant way of wording things is like reading poetry. It is wonderful to see that Qui-Gon and Obi-wans relationship is growing from master and apprentice into a father son relationship, or egleast friends. For the evil villan in Jedi Apprentice #11 I belive she might just be the worst one so far. She is a bountyhunter who will stop at nothing to finsh her evil deed, this book is a must read. The excitment, and action is better than ever. Obi-Wan is amazing, and so is Qui-Gon with both their action moves, and their words.I belive that this Jedi Apprentice is the best one so far. Please do not pass this book up, or any of the books in this series. These books might say that they are for a yunger audence, but these books have poetry, action, suspence, and drama in them, what more could one want in a book. Again PLEASE! do not pass these books up, THEY ARE JUST TOO GOOD!
Rating: Summary: Evil genius Review: Jude Watson is an evil genius. Each JA book she's written has me hanging on the edge of my seat, turning the pages eagerly, and this one was no different. Her characterizations, her rich, descriptive writing, and her amazing plots, with arcs that stretch across several books, are a never-ending source of amazement to me. This book is no exception. Great scenes furthering the master/apprentice relationship between Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon, exciting action and a gut-wrenching ending.
Rating: Summary: Uhu . . . I could call it 'okay' . . . Review: Now, this book is what I call mysterious. In a way. With all the books Jude's done, I'd say she hasn't - and isn't - going to lose her touch with Jedi Apprentice. Or any of her futre books, as a matter of fact. What actually really got me into this book was realizing that Tahl was in it. I really loved her in #6 The Uncertain Path, counting on how humorous Jude made her in that book. Didi and Astri are both new characters, which I enjoyed. Didi's got a sense of humor too, but, in my case, a little dry. The bounty hunter did actually grind my nerves a bit. With Jude's discription, she was TRULY evil to me. I find it quite a mystery to why the hunter's so eager to get the scientist's datapad, and why the victims are drained of blood. Ending is painful, but at least Jude not ending it in mid-sentence is good enough! I am gonna die if I don't get #12. Whatever it's called.
Rating: Summary: The Deadly Hunter Review: Obi-Wan and Qui Gon have just returned from a long journey and Qui Gon wants to go and visit one of his old friends. When they find his friend Didi, he tells them of his trouble with a mysterious bounty hunter. Qui Gon wants to help his friend, but Obi-Wan doesn't approve of it because the Jedi Council has not given them this mission. When they go and meet the bounty hunter, they are not greeted with a warm welcome. They are both suprised of how well of a bounty hunter that she is. Obi-Wan and Qui Gon are now the mysterious bounty hunter's targets so they have to defend themselves as well as Didi and his daughter. This a must read if you are a Star Wars fan!!
