Summary: A thrilling new book in the Jedi Apprentice series.
Review: Obi-Wan Kenobi, with the help of another apprentice, Siri, and her Jedi master, Adi Gallia, has freed Qui-Gon Jinn from the grasp of Jenna Zan Arbor. But the twisted, evil scientist still holds one Jedi captive, the elderly, ailing Jedi master Noor R'aya. Obi-Wan, Siri, and their masters are desperate to free Noor R'aya and capture Zan Arbor before she can do any more harm. But Zan Arbor has inflicted a terrible bacterial disease on a helpless planet, and only she holds the cure - and demands an outrageous price for it. Meanwhile, Astri has undertaken a dangerous quest for vengeance. As her father lies recovering from a poison that nearly killed him, Astri is determined to avenge his near-death at the hands of the bounty hunter Ona Nobis. Obi-Wan and Siri know the girl is not nearly strong enough to defeat a bounty hunter that was strong enough to defeat a Jedi. But Ona Nobis is on her own quest for vengeance. For now she has her own personal vendetta against Obi-Wan. And even the combined strength of four Jedi may not be enough to defeat her. This was a thrilling addition to the Jedi Apprentice series. I reccomend this book to all Star Wars fans.

Summary: The conclusion to an exciting story arc!
Review: Obi-Wan Kenobi, with the help of Jedi Master Adi Gallia and her apprentice Siri, rescue Qui-Gon Jinn from the clutches from Jenna Zan Arbor, but fail to stop her escape. The evil scientist Jenna Zan Arbor will stop at nothing as she tries to discover the secrets of the Force... then use them for her own power. When escaping, she takes along with her one Jedi who remains her captive. Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Adi Gallia, and Siri must rescue the Jedi and at the same time rescue a planet from her evil clutches.

"The Dangerous Rescue" is the conclusion of three books following one story arc. In my opinion, this is one of my most favorite story lines! The story is very exciting and Obi-Wan and another Jedi apprentice, Siri, go off on their own adventures when they go help Astri. Plus there's plenty more excitement as the deadly bounty hunter, Ona Nobis, is bent on having her revenge on Obi-Wan. I also love the character of Siri and am very happy that we get to read a little more about her. One problem I have is the return of the three bumbling characters, Cholly, Weez, and Tup. Somehow I found them a bit annoying but still, I guess their presence is needed somewhat. Read "The Deadly Hunter" and "The Evil Experiment" before this book or I assure you that you will be a bit confused because many of the events which take place closely tie in with the two previous books.

This series explains a lot about how Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan first meet. Their beginning is far from simple and all smooth-sailings, which would be pretty monotonous if it was. Though the books are said for ages 9-12, like many other reviewers I agree that the Jedi Apprentice Series are for anybody. Extremely well-written, the emotions, thoughts, and feelings of the main characters are very well put down into words. I also like the different array of humans and aliens which are portrayed, both good and bad.

Plust check out the new Jedi Quest series, dealing with the master and apprentice duo of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. Another Star Wars Series I recommend and like a lot are the Young Jedi Knights series. The stories are about Jacen and Jaina Solo (twins of Han and Leia Solo), and their friends as they journey on the road to becoming Jedi Knights. More on the teenager level of reading. For adult readings, a few selections I enjoy reading are "The Thrawn Trilogy", "Rogue Planet", "The Jedi Academy Trilogy", "The Corellian Trilogy", and "The Truce at Bakura".

Summary: I have something to say...
Review: PLEASE stop saying that this book is terrible because it really isn't. You have to understand how hard Watson works! She has to think up and write a 140 page book in two months! I think this book is great! The ratings for this book are bad because you don't look for the GOOD points in these books!

Summary: My review of the book.
Review: Star Wars ( The Jedi Aprentace) was in my opinion, a fantastic book. From the moment I started reading I was sucked completely into the scenes of the book. I loved reading about how Obi Wan Konobi became the apprentace of Qui Gon Gyn. They had a great adventure on the transporter ship. I always thought that apperentaces were chosen in a completely different way to what the book says. Qui Gon didn't even want Obi Wan, he thought he was too crazy. You see, life for the children hoping to become an apprentace was extremely difficult. They had to train every day for years and by the time they were thirteen, if they weren't picked, they were shipped away. This is what happened to Obi Wan. If you like the book up to this point, trust me, you will love the rest because it gets alot more interesting and complecated. It's magnificent. You find out all the answers the questions that have been stewing around in your head for a while, that is if your a star wars fan of course, but if your not, read it anyway because I'm sure you'll love all the action involved.

Summary: Same old, same old
Review: The Dangerous Rescue brings to an end the story begun in The Deadly Hunter and continued in The Evil Experiment. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan must track down an evil scientist and confront a deadly bounty hunter in an adventure guaranteed to satisfy even the most demanding of readers. The Dangerous Rescue also features the return of Adi Gallia (one of the council members seen in Episode I) and her abrasive Padawan, Siri. There's drama, suspense, intrigue - in short, everything one could hope for except a bit of romance (but, after all, as the ads for Episode II told us, a Jedi may not know love . . . .).

Summary: Awesome!!
Review: This book is the best in the whole series. Saving Qui-Gon was hard for them. The missions always have a problem and in the littlest detail they could be solved. I especially like the books where Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon are teamed up with anouther jedi team. In this book they were teamed up with Jedi Master Adi Galla and Padawan Siri who is not as expereanced as Obi-Wan, but is very loyal. There challange was against Jenna Zan Arbor, bounty hunter Ona Norbis and Senator S'orn. If you have not read the previous Jedi Apprentice books this story will mean absolutely nothing. This book is the best. If you like my review, Please vote YES below.

Summary: This book is really cool...
Review: This is a pretty good book. Jude Watson is one of my favorite authors. I really like the way she describes the characters. I can't wait until the next one comes out. Qui-Gon Jinn(in my opinion)is the best Jedi. If you like Star Wars, you should give this series a try.

Summary: What happened, Ms. Watson?
Review: This was the first in the Jedi Apprentice series which was difficult to get through. It plodded along but then had sudden jarring plot shifts without much context. Recurring characters are described throughout the book with the same adjectives we've read in the other books of the series. If I have to read that Jedi Adi is "elegant" again, I'll scream. OK, this is a series operating under the rules of the Star Wars franchise so readers must expect a bit of hackneyed formula writing - but please, let's have some more detailed character development with a more flowing plot in the next book and not just something banged out quickly to meet a contract.

Summary: Best of the trilogy, though not the best yet
Review: While it isn't the best in the series, this book is definitely an improvement over the previous two. For one thing it had more character development, and was in general better written. Another good thing about it was that it had plenty of strong females, Adi-Galia, Siri, Tahl, Ona Nobis, and Jenna Zan Arbor to name a few. I was very glad Siri and Adi Galia returned for another adventure because they are both such cool characters that deserved to be used more. While I think that Ona Nobis could have been a much cooler character than she was portrayed here, this in no way undermines the fact that this book had enough strong women to satisfy anyone. I still wish that Tahl would join the action again though, she has the force why does she think she needs her eyes to fight? Anyway, in this book Obi-Wan (with the help of Siri and Adi) at last succedes in rescuing Qui-Gon from Jenna Zan Arbor, but there is still another Jedi held prisoner by her. She leaves her planet and pretty much leads them on a wild goose chase halfway around the galaxy to try and rescue the poor guy. An annoying factor in this book was the continued existence of the three idiot tagalongs, Cholly, Weez, and Tup. I kept wishing that Ona Nobis or someone would apear and blow all three of their idiotic heads off, but unfortunatly I did not get my wish. I can only hope that they will not be "gracing" any future novels in this series. Another problem I had was, while the book itself was great, it had tons of typos. For instance, on several occations they referred to Siri as Astri, when the real Astri was on the other side of the galaxy, and the second to last chapter was labeled, 'Chapter 20' and the final chapter was labeled, 'Chapter 29'. Why is this? Am I missing something or did the editor fall asleep? Besides that though this book was excellent, and I look forward to the next one which is coming out in June, unless I'm mistaken.
