Rating: Summary: Great finish of a fabulous trilogy! Review: Hinz wraps up the trilogy with a major chord! Fascinating finish, probably the best action Sci-Fi book I have read in my life! My favorite book in the paratwa saga.
Rating: Summary: Great! Review: I am not going to write a overly long, or winded reason why I liked this book. Well, loved it. This series was simply one of the BEST I have read, and I enjoyed in immensely. I have nothing but fond memories of it.
Rating: Summary: Conclusion To Story Started in Ash Ock Review: Most of the reviews have explained some of the plot, so I won't rehash that. What I will try to do is explain why you should or shouldn't buy this, whether you'll like this or not.
First, if you're reading this review, you've probably read Liege-Killer (the first book) and continued on to Ash Ock (the second book). Even though Liege-Killer was a book that can stand on its own, and the story has a satisfying ending, the Ash Ock book is the 1st part of a 2 part story that ends in Paratwa. Ash Ock ends abruptly in the middle of a story and Paratwa continues right where Ash Ock ends and ends the 2 part story in a nice conclusion. So get both, or you'll be kicking yourself after you finish Ash Ock and you'll be wondering what happens in the next hour in the story.
Now the question is, are Ash Ock and Paratwa worth reading if you like Liege-Killer? The answer is a resounding yes. There's more of what made Liege-Killer a great read, with major events and conspiracies, whose resolution will change the fate of all the major characters and the fate of the human colonies. Almost all the major questions and secrets that were hinted at in Liege-Killer and Ash Ock are revealed, all the plot twists are untied and almost everything is explained in Paratwa. The major conflicts do come to their satisfying conclusion.
Unlike a lot of trilogies, this one doesn't disapoint, and doesn't leave you hanging. It's definitely worth reading to the end. Don't get off the roller coaster early, because the best part of the ride is near the end.
Enjoy the ride.
Rating: Summary: A whimper maybe but certainly not a bang Review: Proberbly rates a 3 star on the basis of a good read (assuming that you had read the two pervious books). The ideas were interesting but somewhat convoluted (perhaps a requirement for the story to hang together). The demise of the the major antagonist, Sappho, was a bit tepid. It seemed as though Hinz in attempting to pull all the strands together to end the trilogy did just that - but didn't in my opinion quite succeed. Is this a prelude to another book where Gillian returns ?
Rating: Summary: Where's the Ending Review: The book itself was a decent finally to the trilogy. The entire series is one of my favorites(so much in fact that I have read all three several times) However... I really would either have liked closure to the Gillian thing, or a continuation in perhaps another book

Rating: Summary: Crazy Ending Review: The series overall is one of the best I have read. This series has made a home in my permanent collection! This book stuggled a bit to wrap it all up but I do like how we finally got to see the "real" enemy.

Rating: Summary: Their worst nightmares appeared, but who controlled them Review: The third book in the Paratwa series is not really that great.
The Paratwa, one mind in two bodies, are returning after
destroying Earth and bringing on Armagedon two hundred
years before. As they approach in a superscience spaceship, the space colonies struggle to deal
with the return of their worst nightmare. The plan the Paratwa have for domination is very complex with many fall back
positions. Is the renegade Paratwa, Gillian, the only real hope? Or is a computer file left in the inter-colony
net the what is needed to defeat the Paratwa? Are the Paratwa just TOO superior?
What of the Ash Ock, Aristotle? The failing of the book is that
is does not have a palatable ending. You are left with the
question: What price survival?
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Wonderful Review: This book is a great conclusion to the saga. The only problem is how rare it is. Even the paperback version is hard to find for a decent price. The saga is my favorite sci-fi saga, and The Paratwa really sums up everything. Liege-Killer was like a small puzzle within a larger one. Ash Ock and Paratwa allow the other pieces to slowly fall into place. When you're done reading the saga, you understand everything..yet at the same time, your head is still spinning from everything.
