Rating: Summary: 3 stars but I have to balance it out because some people... Review: Anyway. I'd say it's good. Around average DL quality and definatly different. I don't see how all the gnomes were evil. But I guess you might be able to find one or two "evil" gnomes in this book. So to the person who rated it way down because of "evil gnomes" I will say (this is going to be sarcastic OK) You better not read the Legends Trilogy, they have an evil elf. Elves are supposed to be good. Whaaaa! (sarcasm ended). MORONS are the ones who say The Legends is bad. And judging by your rating system they are worse than this one. No, this book is OK. Ignore the first review and the one before this one because those people are both bad-tasted to say the least.
Rating: Summary: One Of The Best Dragonlance Side Stories Ever. Review: Great book. The confusing, busy plot works perfectly with the gnomes of Mt. Nevermind. The blend of humor and drama makes for charicters you can really care about, including the often- overlooked gully dwarves.A fun, creative, adventurous book.
Rating: Summary: Time to hang it up. Review: I can honestly say that I believe the DragonLance well has finally run dry. This was the worst book that I have e...ee...eeever read. The concept of the Gnomes behavior was untouched upon in other books, and the concept of the Paradise Machine was total moronic. I agree with the review that said that Commander Khargos couldn't lace his boots without the help of the Dark Queen. A little research and planning would have made this book much better. So far the only good thing I can say is the line about Gully Dwarves being expendable (with expenadable supposed to mean brave) was very funny. One line however, can not save this book. Save your money. This one isn't worth it.

Rating: Summary: Novel, not bad...but the cover Art! Review: I enjoyed the latest DragonLance novel. Not the best I've read, but surely not the worst. However I do have to commend the Artist that did the cover, FANTASTIC work...made me buy the Book! Glen Angus is his name I believe, I look forward to finding more of his work.
Rating: Summary: This novel was a joke Review: I have read dozens of dragonlance books and i have to say that this one was terrible. Mr. Ryan had a good concept with the gnomes but he didnt follow it. Next time Mr. Ryan do your homework and maybe your next novel will be worth reading.

Rating: Summary: Worst DL I've ever read... Review: I'm a huge fan of Dragonlance; I have about 60 DL books, I've played various Dragonlance games, and I frequent DL web sites. I've read some good stuff and some bad stuff, but this book was by far the worst. I knew it was a gnome story, so I expected something off the wall, but the plot of this book was just ludicrous. I didn't think Mr. Ryan portrayed the gnomes very well either. They seemed more evil than neutral, which they are supposed to be. They were very manipulative and plotting, not the loveable, carefree gnomes I've always read about in DL. There were parts of the book that could have been explained a lot better too. I still haven't figured out why the main character Innova was held accountable for blowing up one of the Barium twins when he didn't even do anything. The whole idea behind Innova's Paradise Machine (an invention based on those dipping birds oiled with something that seeped out of the Greygem and has perpetual motion and brought order to Mt. Nevermind and made everything work like it should) was dumb. I'm surprised this book made it to print. I'm thinking of writing my own book about Mt. Nevermind in the Chaos War. Anyway, don't waste your six bucks, leave this one on the shelf.
Rating: Summary: drink coffee Review: if you want to read this book you'll need some caffine. this book did not hold my interest until 1/2 way through and then it still was boring - i wouldn't recommend it at all
Rating: Summary: Give him time.... Review: The fact that Ryan is new to the DL saga is blatantly obvious in this tale. The story had some potential but as noted elsewhere, Ryan depicted the gnomes much differently than in any other book and thus completely missed the characteristic traits that make gnomes so enjoyable. The writing style is fairly good but much of the plot is illogical and under-defined(e.g. the paradise machine) I've read every book in the series thus far and this one definitely jumped out of context though it was still an acceptable read with some good moments.
