Summary: excellent book
Review: Yes, I am one of the many that rated The mirror of her dreams with five stars. Before I get on with review, I thought it interesting that those who submitted their reviews to amazon either loved it or hated it.

This is another book that I bought years ago and still have. I have a man rides through, also and adored it as well. To be truthful, I bought the book because of its artwork. Just to think a girl looks into her mirror to see a young man staring back and a battle behind him. Makes me want to try to jump through one of my mirrors to meet someone like Geraden. Some may like the intrigue, some may just like donaldson's writing style, but I wholly identified with Terisa. A woman who had no place in this world who knew something was going on within her. She had a power that in this world doesn't mean much. Would I recommend this to others? I don't know. All I know is I loved it and that's that.

Summary: This is a great book - even for those who don't like fantasy
Review: I was given this book to read when I made the comment that I did not like to read fantasy or science fiction. This book not only proved me wrong ( I finsihed the book in 2 days - I couldn't put it down!), but I have also started to read other fantasy books. I highly recommend this book to anyone who would like to read science fiction/fantasy, but does not know where to begin!

Summary: This book will proably put most people to sleep.............
Review: This book was a real disappointment. I've read both Covenant trilogy's a couple of times. I would encourage anyone who hasn't read Donaldson to start with those books. This is a story of a girl with low self-esteem. She goes through a mirror to a medieval society where mirrors are used for magical purposes. She goes through various intrigues where she doesn't know who to trust. This story is very similar to the Covenant trilogies. The difference is that the Covenant series is extremely interested.

Don't bother with this book, it is 622 pages of boredom.

Summary: I loved reading every minute of this book!
Review: This is the BEST book I've ever read! This book captivated my heart and soul with every word! Donaldson's descriptive details of his characters and locales are fantastic. After finishing it, I ran out and immediately bought its sequel. A must read if you love fantasy/dimension-travel books.

Summary: Exciting and just festive
Review: I have to say that this is one of the best books I have ever read -- Great characters with diverse personalities. I have to admit that I enjoyed the use of mirrors for "magic" (door ways, so to speak) as opposed the usual abra cadabra you get in most fantasy/science fiction. I also liked the psychological aspect of Teresia growing up and how it shapes her into a new person. I highly recommend this novel and the second one, A Man Rides Through.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Useless Ongoing drivel
Review: What exactly was Donaldson talking about? I have no idea...

merely sex-obsessed nonsense which causes the reader to yawn and snore. I bought a copy since I was recommended to do so by a Phantom phan... Nevertheless I regret wasting my moeny; thus you should not with yours.

Summary: Complicated court politics novel, good but not brilliant
Review: This novell, which I bought eagerly after finishing the second trilogy of the Thomas Covenant saga, Fulfilled my expectations. Although not quite up to the standards of The Unbeliever series, this book emphasizes Donaldson's divergence from the main stream. His characters are flawed, vulnerable and make mistakes. The court politics which take most of the book are well written and draw you into the complex world of Mordant.

Basically a good novel, although it could be better

Summary: Loved this!!
Review: For some reason I haven't been able to get into Stephen R. Donaldson's other books, but this one is definitely wonderful. The characters are so real, you almost feel like you can cross through the mirror and meet them. Definitely a must read. Now that I'm finally getting a copy of my own, someone else can borrow it from the library for a change...

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: WOW!! What a great book!
Review: I enjoyed every minute of it. I just wish it never had to end. Definitely one of those books to read on a dreary day curled up in front of the fire with a cup of hot cocoa. Masterfully written.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: This book is the worst I've ever read!
Review: If I could give this book zero stars I would. It was highly predictable and had poor character and plot development. I think the idea behind the story, the mirror to another world, is interesting which makes the book all the more disappointing.
