Rating: Summary: "Into the Woods" sings it's way to the top! Review: "Into the Woods" is not only a wonderful book, but a wonderful show. Never have I gottten ,so many songs stuck in my head. Sondheim is brilliant. This highly creative plot is not only fun but dramatic. The acts are very diverse. Get ready for a humorous walk through the woods and yet a serious one too!
Rating: Summary: one of Sondheim's best Review: Great. Great. Great.A musical play that takes a realistic look at fairy tales. Half the cast is dead by the end. The villain points an accusing finger at the protagonists and has a very good reason to do so. The other villain has good reason to try to kill one of the protagonists. Bottom line: Witches can be right; Giants can be good

Rating: Summary: Awesome! Review: I am in a junior version of this play, meaning that we only do the first half (actually, later in the day that I am writing this and I am planning to be in a production) and I just wanted to say that this book is great! It helped me clearly understand the second half, 'cause the little booklet that comes w/ the CD doesn't really help you understand! Highly reccomended!
Rating: Summary: A MUST for any lover of this show... Review: I cannot mention how much I loved this book. I recently finished a production of this show and we gave this book as a gift to the production crew members. After looking through it, most of the cast placed their own orders. Not only is it a new way to look at this great story, but there are also small pieces of insight into certain characters and situations that you do not get anywhere else. Every illustration in this book is exquisite...I would frame any of them. My favorite is of the pulling out of Rapunel's hair by the Baker's Wife. The illustrations are just like the show, funny where they should be (Little Red in the Fur) and grim where they should be (Rapunzel's death). This is a great and rarely seen collector's piece, as well as a great gift for anyone with a love of the show.

Rating: Summary: best musical--for ALL ages Review: I fell in love with this musical when I saw a video of the Broadway production as a child, and have since had the opportunity to see it live once (performed at a college) and perform in it once myself (in high school) which was a wonderful experience. I'm toying with the idea of directing the first act of it with children at a girl's camp this summer, which should be interesting! Any suggestions?
Rating: Summary: Who's been playing with our fairy tales!!!!!!!! Review: I first heard the original Broadway Cast recording of this show and fell in love with the idea of turning traditional fairy tales upside down and inside out to create an exciting new look at these much loved characters ad stories. I have seen 5 different versions of this musical. The scope is incredable and each production has been totally different. Read on and let you imaginiation run away with it's self........happy reading (and singing)
