Summary: This is one to read for a good laugh.
Review: I could not help but laugh when I read this book. Victor Milan wrote this book with a great sense of humor which made it that much more enjoyable for me to read. I request that you read this book, you might like as much as I did.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A great book
Review: I have to admit, the beginning was a little boring, forcing me to leave the book behind in favor of the others that I had ordered, but when I got a little bit into it, the book was impossible to put down. I loved it, it had great details and a great plotline with great characters. I give it a four because of the beginning.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: An ok book in a Wonderful Series that isn't very good
Review: I think it ttruly was a boring book except for a few scenes. It was labor trying to finish it and is not recomended

Summary: Good fun
Review: In my opinion, this is one of the funniest books I've ever read. Just look at it disconsidering everything you ever read about battletech rules, and it's fine. The book is well written, rich in characters and plots, but it is on the verge of being ridiculous by batlletech combat standards. One single, unarmored person, with a vibroblade as primary weapon, with a whole battlemech BATTALION of worth of kills? I think perhaps the main character was the inpiration to the FWLM unit, the Second Oriente Hussars insignia of a person running after an Atlas with a knife.

Summary: Great Book! Milan writes outstanding Battletech stories.
Review: Milan does a great job in this second book featuring the freewheeling 17th Recon Regiment. Rich in plot (and sub-plots) Milan weaves a compelling story populated with the eccentric and colorful characters of Camacho's Caballeros.

The 17th Recon is unlike any other outfit in or out of the Inner Sphere and Milan's stories require more attention span than some of the one dimensional Battletech books around. But for a good story with some of the best Mech action around you can't beat Hearts of Chaos.

Summary: An ok book in a Wonderful Series that isn't very good
Review: This book is a very gripping read, hard to put down. It is not without some faults. The first half of the book is choppy, jerking the reader from one scene to another without much clarity of plot. However, the last 120 pages represent really excellent writing. The Caballeros gamble it all to take a planet. The battle action mounts and builds. Now suddenly the plot is clear and the description brings the huge battle to realistic, picturesque life. Some of the best battle action of any Battlemech novel. The author successfully creates some "real" characters, deepening the reader's interest. Caution-- the violence is very graphic, and there's some sex. Better for high school readers or older
