Summary: One word for you: WOW
Review: Truth be told, this is the only book outside of Star Wars by Stackpole that I've read--however, it lacks nothing. Right now I just wish he'd keep writing either with Nolan, or at least continue the Talion storyline. Stackpole does a masterful job of creating characters and backing them up. Aside from Nolan, I especially liked Morai--typical roguish guy, with a dash of humor. This was one of the most well-written books I've ever read, and I've read quite a bit. I'd give it a 7 out of 5, but the thingy'll only go up to 5 stars. A wonderful job overall!

Summary: Great Book
Review: Original fantasy is so hard to come by, and this is one book that truly fits that description. Well-written, although not as polished as Stackpole's later books. If you're looking to immerse yourself in an interesting and entertaining fantasy world, than this is the book for you.

Summary: Another winner from Stackpole...
Review: This was Michael Stackpole's first novel, and the second of his non-series novels to be published. I'd put it third in my "recommended list" of his (I enjoyed _Once a Hero_ and _Eyes of Silver_ more, and both are, in my opinion, better examples of his writing). The novel uses a similar "converging story arcs" technique to _Once a Hero_, but instead of two "main" characters and some 500 years in time separating the arcs initially, they represent the present day dilemma and the training of the same main character.

Summary: Great Read!
Review: I LOVED this book. It has not only a great story that keeps moving and does not get bogged down but it is a well written story besides. If you like fantasy you will like this book!

Summary: My favourite book! And I've read quite a few!
Review: This book is the first and favorite book I've read by Michael A. Stackpole. This is what brought be to the world of fantasy reading, and kept me there! I never read a book more than once, except with this one! The detail was great, and the characters came to life before my eyes. This book is full of adventure, suspense, action, and magic. I couldn't put it down the first two times I read it. Please give it a try. P.S. I love how he alternates chapters from present to past, and in the end they meet together!

Summary: He is truly a great author
Review: I have read his Star Wars books and they were exellent. This was one of the best books I've yet read. It was truly worth reading in my opinion.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best of the gritty fantasy class!
Review: Few fantasies role off the pages as smoothly as this novel. It may have been his first, but it still ranks among the best fantasy novels out there. Full of action, deep characters, a twisting plot, and enough reality to make the story believable and engrossing. If you like action, believable heroes, and hard fantasy, then this is a book for you. The martial arts, villans, and temptations make this a great book for fantasy fans.

Summary: Talion: Revenant
Review: I read alot of fantasy books like Katharine Kerr, Katherine Kurtz, Raymond E. Feist, David Drake, L. E. Modesitt Jr., Robin Hobb, George Martin and Robert Jordan. Stackpole belongs right up there with the rest of them with this book. When I'm looking for a good book I don't look for grammer and exact historical wording I look for a jump out there story that will keep me reading until the finish and then wanting more which this book has done everytime I've read it. Of course the draw back is that he hasn't written part two yet but I guess I will just have to wait.

Summary: Best Book I have ever read!
Review: Any one who likes fantasy will love this book. I am not a reader, but this book just took me in. I read the first chapter and thought to myself, "Well that must have been the climax of the story", but to my delight the book only got better! This is truly my favorite book of all times. Next in line is Dune of course.

Summary: 6 Stars! The Best book I have ever read!
Review: I suggest to anyone who likes fantasy novels to read this book. It combined an action packed storyline with a main character that I became very attached with. I stayed up late for even an hour or more after lights out in my dorm room just so I could read more. After I finished it I enjoyed it so much that I decided to read it again. It is simply amazing.
