Summary: The book gives a clear picture of life back then.
Review: I thought the book was very intresting. It got right to the point and told a clear picture. At times though, the book got off the subject and had too many details. It was very secretive and that made the story alot more suspenseful. The characters were very real, especially Annemarie because she was so curious and scared at the same time. The setting was very helpful to the story because of the ocean that linked to Sweden. I was very fascinated when they told of the hankerchiefs that the people would use to trick blood hounds. I never thought that scientists could or even would make inventions like that to help the Jews in times like this. This book has helped me to learn more about the holocaust and I would recommend this book to anyone.

Summary: Powerful and Important.
Review: I enjoyed this book but it was not until I visited the holocaust museum in D.C. that its full impact hit me. After walking through a railway car used to transport Jews to a concentration camp I was overcome with sadness and despair. Then I spotted a little wooden boat, like the one used in Number The Stars. This boat, and boats like it, were used by people to save their fellow man. It was then that I realized that Number the Stars is not just a good book. It is an important book.

Summary: Great Book
Review: I read this book for a book report for my wonderful teacher, Mr. McDonnell. My friend Casey recommended the book to me. It is exciting because you never know what will happen next. My favorite part was when the Nazi soldiers went into Annemarie's house and searched for Ellen. They almost caught her, but she was able to escape.

Rating: 5 stars

Summary: Lowry's story and writing are exceptional
Review: The story of 10 yr.old Annemarie is wonderful. I had to read this book for my children's literature class and I could not put the book down. I got very emotionally involved with the story. I do not know how I would have dealt with the Nazi invasion. The strength and courage that Annemarie had was amazing. People tell me that they think The Giver is Lowry's best, but I have to say I disagree. Number the Stars is outstanding and I recommend it for all ages. The way everything comes together at the end is explained, leaving the reader amazed at the subtle clues in the story. In addition, there are many places this book can be used in the curriculum.

Summary: This is a very good book and I recommend that it is read.
Review: The way this book touches the heart of so many readers is phenomenal. The two girls that are in this story go through many hardships together, as one of them is a Jew in Nazi Denmark during World War 2. The young girl is very brave, somewhat mature about her situation. The daring escapes and the manipulation of the Nazi army makes this book very exciting to read. I recommend this to everyone to read.

Summary: A suspensful, entertaining book
Review: This book is one of the best i have ever read. It is really suspensful. It is kind of unrealistic because you do not expect the kind of thing that happened in the book to happen that often. Overall this is a VERY good book

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I'd rate this book a 9.5.
Review: It had everything a book should have. I recommend this book to all readers. The characters were serious and I could see WW2 through the eyes of a fictional character.
