My class read it last year, 6th grade, and everyone in the entire class, jewish or not, fell in love with the charecters in the book. We went out of class thinking that we were really there. I myself have read it about 10 times....just because i wanted that feeling again. It is an over all very good book.

Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Very touching Review: This is a story about how a Danish family were willing to risk their lives to save a young Jewish girl. Though "Lisa's War" is much more powerful, this is a novel worth reading.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Very suspensful, you never want to put the book down. Review: Ellen is a young Jewish girl living an everyday life untill one day the Germans take over the Jews. Annemarie, Ellens best friend, is a young girl trying to live threw all the miserable things that go along with the war. Ellen and Annemarie display thier true friendship through out this whole book. There are many events that happen through out the story wich prove this, such as when Ellen and Annemarie were trying to sleep when a German soldier barges threw the door looking for the missing Jews. I liked this book because it was so suspensful and it was based on a true story. I would recomend it for anyone who likes to read true stories that demonstrate action and friendship. Ellen and Annemarie really express the true meaning of friendship.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: One Great Book!!! Review: A compelling story , that makes you feel as if you were right next to the charecters, feeling and experiencing what they felt and experienced. I would recommend this book to anyone.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This is a touching story that everyone will be moved by Review: I loved this book. Lois Lowry does a wonderful job of creating characters you become attached to. The plot is so captivating; I could never put the book down. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to see what might have been a real-life experience for someone during the Holocaust. If you enjoyed 'Anne Frank,' you will enjoy this book; while they share a common subject they are each wonderfully different in their descriptions of how the Holocaust changed these girls' lives.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: People all ages of ethnic backgrounds will love this book! Review: I can't begin to tell you just how many times I've read this book. I read it so much that my mom and dad bought a hardback copy of it for me for my birthday. This is one of "those" books that truly can change a life. I am fourteen and I will be a Freshman in the fall. Even though this book is considerably below my grade and reading level, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I've learned, along with many others, not to take life for granted. We are so lucky to live in a society where we need not worry about such things. You really need to check this book out if you haven't already. Then let everyone else you know read it, too! If you liked this book, you'll LOVE Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl and Daniel's Story by Carol Matas.
