Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: I couldn't stop reading this book! Review: This book is about how this girl, Annemarie, lives in the time of World War 2. Her family and her family's friends are going through hard times and hard challenges. I think this book is very sad, because innocent people are being killed minute after minute, for no reason. But hearing about what happened in our history is interesting. The characters in this story are troubled, scared, courageous, and brave. Annemarie, the main character, is trying to help her friends and family come out of this and stick together through it all. You have got to read this book! You'll like it a lot!

Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: An okay book, not too great, a good account of the Holocaust Review: I mean, I think I read this book expecting too much of the author because I had loved her Giver book, and I thought that this book would have the same sort of magic in it. But no. The story doen't tell much at all. I felt a loss at the end because I wanted to know more, and in more detail. No offense, this book was a pretty sinple plain book. The only reason people may like it (in my opinion) is that it has a touching plot.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Experiences of children living through the Holocaust. Review: This book was absolutely fabulous! The author wrote with such emotion and true feeling it was unbelievably realistic. The story itself is wonderful- about the two families (one Jewish one not) and how they help each other. Shows what the Holocaust was like from a child's point of view, it is very informative. Very touching and interesting. Explains the Holocaust in great detail. I am in 8th grade, I must have read this book 20 times since 6th grade. I strongly recommend "Number The Stars", by Lois Lowry, to anyone of any age. It is written very, very well.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Read It!!!!!! Review: This is one of my favorite books. I have read this book 50 times(seriously) and it gives me cold chills every time. I think this is a book everyone should read, the holocaust was a horrid part of history and the more people that are aware of what really went on and how ruthless and uncaring the nazis were the less likely it will be repeated. this book is against prejudice and is based on real accounts from holocaust survivors.I hope you will read this book not only is it educational but it is also exciting and captivating!!!!! Read it!!!
