Summary: Review about Number the Stars
Review: This is a book about Annemarie, a girl who has a Jewish friend. The two girls live in the time that the Nazi soldiers are trying to kill Jewish people. Ellen, Annemarie's friend, goes to live with Annemarie while her parents are being relocated. This is a good book with a great ending. I reccomend it for 3rd and 4th graders. The only reason I didn't give this book 5 stars is because it got a little confusing and boring at the end. I hope you read Number the Stars.

Summary: The honesty in Lowry's STARS is strong and moving
Review: Lowry's first Newbery tells the story of Annemarie Johansen, a ten-year-old who is glad not to have to be couragous. But when she is, her life is changed forever. The only downgrade is that story had a sad ending. But that is needed, I suppose, for a story such as this, with a message of friendship and courage written in between the lines. The thrill in this, though, is that it is honest and true, not masking the horrors of the time. Serves as a good beginning to a study of the time period, especially for young children. (Reccomended.)

Summary: Best book from the 20th Century! (Two thumbs UP! )
Review: Number The Stars is a facinating book!It is about the life of a10 year old girl during World War Two. It explains how the war changedher life, and how she risked her life for her friend. This amazing book kept me on the edge of my chair! (and believe me,thats hard to do because I read books by the dozens! )Number the Stars also has some sad moments yet, World War2 was a very sad part in history. Number the Stars shows the courage that the children (and adults) traped in World War 2 had. It also shows the sadness that parents and friends went through when a love was lost. This incredable book expresses all the feelings that were expierenced during World War 2. This is a book for people who are AND arn't "into" World War 2. You can learn from it and enjoy it as you go along(There are many facts and real things, like the handkerchief, are explained in the end of the book)So I truly recomend this book to all...

Summary: A very good book! With lots of real info!
Review: This is a very good book. It gives info on World War two in a half basic way. It is good for people who don't want to get to much in detail about World War Two. I liked it, it made me want to learn more about World War Two.

Summary: Not a Eye Catcher
Review: This book was a well written book and the book had a lot of information, but the book did not catch my eye. The book was not as fufilling as I hoped. Sometimes the book carried on something but other wise it was a good book.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: It was okay
Review: I thought it was okay but it wasn't my favorite book. It got kind of boring beacause it sounds like the author ran out of ideas close to the end of the book. Some parts were funny though. Like when Thor (the cat) fell into the milking pail.
