Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I can't think of a title Review: Lois Lowry's book, Number the Stars, is one of the best books to help younger readers understand the Holocaust. It is not difficult to read or understand. Although it does not present the cruel realities of the Holocaust, it does helps students understand the roles that people played in WWII. Some of these roles were dangerous and daring, yet others merely did what they felt was necessary. This book enables the reader to understand what life might have been like for them if they had lived during WWII. However, when I said that this was an "easy" read, I meant it. This book is intended for middle school children (grades 4-7) and could possibly bore someone who was expecting more detail, plot, and complexity. I would recommend this book to any young reader who was interested in this time period. However, I think that older or more advanced readers may wish to find something more complex.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Number the Stars Good or Bad? Review: I thought Number the Stars was a great book! My favorite part was towards the end when Annemarie was stopped by the soldiers and was trying to act like Kirsti, I thought that was funny. My favorite character was Annemarie. I liked her because she was brave and I liked her personality. She didn't complain when Kirsti had to play with them. I was suprised when Ellen's parents were still alive I really thought they were going to die for some reason. This story started when Annemarie and Ellen (Annemaries friend) was running down the street and got stopped. Luckily nothing happened. The next week the Nazis got a list of all the Jews. This story would be boring except Ellen's family was Jewish! Will they make it???

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Lois Lowry is a wonderful author! Review: I read this book in fourth grade and it still affects me today. First of all, i can relate to it because I am Danish and have been to Copenhagen so that got me interested in the book. After reading it, I realized what actually happened during the World War; families were torn apart, people were murdered, just because they thought differently. If you want to read a book about friendship or you want to read up on history, i suggest this book.
