Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Number the stars... I see 5! Review: We read this in class two years ago, and I remember, and still laugh about our reactions to the cliffhangers. We were gasping, and laughing, and even screaming. The book tells the story of the Holacust in a realistic way, with many twists. It all has to do with betrayal, strong friendship, history, and courage. The book is beautifully written, and very truthful, and suspenseful, for such a delicate, disturbing subject. Want to learn about the Holacust and avoid those long, dull, non-fiction books, then you've found your match!

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Number the Stars Review: I read an awesome book that's called Number the Stars! This book is about when the Nazis came to take the Jews away. Annemarie is a little girl who has a friend named Ellen who is Jewish. Annemarie's family is pretending that Ellen is part of their family. Ellen and Annemarie are hoping that the Nazis won't come to Annemarie's house and take Ellen away. Annemarie's family was in their house when a Nazi came in. The Nazi asked why they had a blacked haired child. Luckily Annemarie had a sister that had died of a sickness that had black hair when she was young. Annemarie's father showed the Nazi a family photo of her sister. The Nazi left believing Annemarie's family. But that's not all the excitement in the book. You'll have to read the book to figure out the rest of the excitement yourself.

Annemarie has shown great courage to help Ellen, her friend, to find freedom in the German occupation at this time. The books provides a great detail and describes the feelings that overwhelm her. The plot was very exciting, and there were many suprises that made you never want to put the book down. I highly suggest that everyone, young and old, read this fantasic book.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: One of the best WWII books for kids! Review: This is one of my all time favorite books! The characters are so real. You feel as though you are Annemarie and Ellen. Being Jewish I find this book explaining a lot about the war and surviving. Annemarie's father tells her he would do anything to fight for his country. I think at this time in America especially, we should listen to that message.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Good Book Review: I had to read Number the Stars for school. Most of the kids didn't like it, but I thought it was pretty good. What I liked most about it was the way Lois Lowry described the feelings and surroundings. While I was reading I really felt like I was tasting the bitter October morning air!(And no, I wasn't reading it outside in October!!) Number the Stars was touching, sad, yet showed important courage on Annemaries's part, but sometimes the plot felt a bit sluggish. This was a nice read.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Awesome Review: This book was very good. I was reading reviews for this book and 1 said that this book has no action. Not every book needs to have action to make it good. This book is one of them. Very, very good book.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: a great book for everyone! Review: This book is about Annemarie Johansen and her best friend Ellen Rosen trying to escape from the Nazis. This is the best way to know and to feel what the others felt during the war. A very great book with all the values of frienship, trust, and courage.
