Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: An overwritten, muddled mess Review: This is the worst book in the Magic series, save for the first few installments with Greensleaves and Arena. The book diverts the focus away from the very person we want to read about, Urza. At the conclusion of the Brother's War, this book's predecessor, Urza became the planeswalker we all know from the game. In lieu of learning more about him directly, we are trapsed through very muddled and superfluous descriptions of Phyrexian life and a woman/newt named Xanchta (sp?). This woman attmepts to find a surrogate look alike Mishra to rattle Urza back in to the realm of sanity. The plot alone is ridiculous, and the writing matches suit. If you want to read a convoluted story about Phyrexia and its rather overdevloped yet intangible history this is the book for you.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: The Worst Piece of Trash I have ever read!! Review: Use it to start a campfire!! In my opinion the book was too slow and nothing got accomplished. The Thing i didn't understand was all the -Waste Not Want Not- Crap.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: A lot of dead trees for nothing Review: Well, Im dissapointed, The Brothers War was one of the best licenced books ive ever read. But Planeswalker is too phillosophical and slow.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Dissapointing sequel. Review: When I finished reading The Brothers' War, I couldn't help but read its three sequels; Planeswalker, Time Streams, and Bloodlines. Planeswalker has an annoying reputation, it concentates too much on Xantcha instead of Urza (not that Xantcha's bad or anything). Also, the character known as Ratepe, plays an important role during the first half of the book, but wasted throughout the second half of the book. Some questions popped up when I finished reading, such as: Why is Yawgmoth reffered to as "the Ineffable", Why is Ratepe so rebellious to Xantcha (NOTE: Ratepe is a slave Xantcha bought) even though Xantcha will send him free once he has done what Xantcha wanted (he was supposed to fool Urza into thinking he was his dead brother, Mishra. Urza blames himself for the death of Mishra even though it was Gix and the other Phyrexians who did it). The book starts out agonizingly slow and seemed to drag at some parts. I didn't give Planeswalker a 1 or 2 stars because I have read [much worse]. Read The Brothers' War, and if you want to get to Time Streams and Bloodlines, just give Planeswalker a look.
