Summary: One of the greatest...
Review: One of the greatest books ever written! I found this book very hard to put donw. So hard to put down that I finished reading it in 4 days!! I hope there is a sequel. I love the way that the dragons are good and have more powers than just mind reading. In this fasanating book, everything the seems normal is turned around. Excellent reading!!

Summary: Predictable But Fun
Review: The story is a typical coming-of-age epic fantasy. Shana is half-elf, in a world where halfbreeds are feared by the elves because of their magical powers, and usually killed at birth. But Shana is rescued and raised by the hidden dragons. There she is taught how to use her powers and then exiled to die or fulfill the prophecy of Elvenbane. And naturally, she does succeed, or there wouldn't be a story to begin with. Such is the stuff of genre fantasy. There are differences that set this tale apart from others: both the elves and dragons are not indigenous, unicorns are not in the least bit friendly, dragons shapeshift often to meddle in the affairs of the elves, and the elves have had humans enslaved for generations. But the characters are almost stereotypes, the pacing is uneven, and the plot seems rushed toward the end. However, it is an easy read, and overall pleasing to this fantasy fan's tastes. Certainly not the best effort by either author's standards, but I liked the characters and world enough that I will seek out the sequel.

Summary: excellant change the the same overplayed elves.
Review: The way they changed an almost over played godd creature like the elves, into a cruel and hateful society is refreshing and new. The authors are not eddings or R. Jordan, but the books are still an enjoyable read.

Summary: A wonderous trip into the mind of a legend
Review: This book is one of the better books I have read in this genre, which is to be expected from the minds of Norton and Lackey. They take the reader into the life of Shauna, a half-human, half-elven woman whose power exceeds that of both races she is from. This book delves into the fulfilment of a legend and a prophecy. The story is shown from shauna's point of view, and the authors do an excellent job of showing us the workings of her mind. This is definately a book that I would reccomend to anyone who likes fantasy, or to anyone who wishes to start reading fantasy.

Summary: Absolutely Fantastic
Review: This book was wonderful. It took me about 3 or 4 months to find a paperback though. I had already read Elvenblood and was hooked. Somewhere along the line after I found it, I heard talk of a third book in the series.. Is this true? If you know, E-mail me at Lizard174@aol.com.. Back on the subject, I loved this book, and all Ms. Norton's books that I own. She and Mercedes Lackey are two of the most talented writers whose work I have read over and over again.

Summary: Absolutely the best Fantasy book I ever read!
Review: Usually serial books do not interest me; I feel like the second and thereafter books are exactly like the first. However, this did not happen when I read the Elvenbane and Elvenblood. The two were wonderful, and I would recommend them to all that I know

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Good moving story
Review: With two such gifted authors, this book couldn't help but be great. It lived up to all my expectations, with unforgettable characters and a well paced story. The dragons were intriguing, not being the usual "bad" kind. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to read something that they will long remember.
