Rating: Summary: I don't know what these people are talking about. Review: The above reviews must have read a different Children of the Jedi than I did. I found it to be very well written. The action never stopped and the new characters that were brought in were very interesting. Luke finally found a love that suited him. Truly worthy of the name Star Wars.
Rating: Summary: This is a great book, for adults, no sci-fi book nerds Review: This was an awesome book, the ending is worth it, besides everyone knows that some other author will off CAL. at some point, She is not even listed in future books, So give the author a break the ending is totally unpredictable.. as long as you don't think about it and just read it, BUT the plot is very confusting at times but much better than Anderson's next book in the line, come on how many times will the empire screw up and not kill some Rebels. Read this book but don't read the next book in the series ,, IT sucks, I for one want to see Luke hook up with some body for a change.........if so recommend a book
Rating: Summary: Different, but good plot and good story Review: This story had a twist that is yet to be found in Star Wars Books: It had many new characters that were involved in the past and present and possibly the future. I recommend anybody that likes complex books read. it was good
Rating: Summary: Read either Zahn or Kevin Anderson instead!!! Review: The whole story about Callista is just stupid and this book is just flat out slow. Zahn and Anderson are much more exciting writers and you can't put there books down while all I wanted to do was put this one in the trash.
Rating: Summary: Say What!? Review: This book is a disgrace to all of star wars. The whole plot was such a mess of conglomerated thoughts that even Yoda couldn't figure it out. But that is just my review and if you want the next two books to make sense you'll have to subject your self to this book.
Rating: Summary: A good story and dramatic conclusion. Review: Well, this novel isn't the best Star Wars book out there, but it does have some interesting plot developments. Callista is a new character in the Star Wars universe and she and Luke immediately get involved in a romantic relationship which I find very interesting. New enemies Roganda and Irek Ismaren are pretty cool also. Especially since it appears they will be back in the future. All in all, a good book, but not up to par with Zahn or the X-Wing series.
Rating: Summary: Not your average Star Wars Review: i loved this book! It was time that star wars novels had a romantic side instead of the shoot-em up quality from the past. Don't get me wrong- the shoot-em up books are great to, but, this book(to me) was wonderful. There are alot of people who may not like this book. But go ahead- try reading it- go to the libray- read the summery. If you don't like it fine- but I bet other people will(not meant to be a pun!)!
Rating: Summary: A mixed up, hard to follow jumbed mess. Review: This book looked interesting when I first picked it up, but by the 5th page, I wanted to go and mingle with the rats in the lowest levels of Imperial City more than I wanted to read this book. Why don't they give a zero star option in these reviews? Star Wars was not made for romance, like in this book. I am only 10 years old and I have read 6 Star Wars novels. This was probably the worst. If you like books where you read a lot of diolauge, unnessicary discription, trailing off, weird ideas, and blandness, then this book is for you. If you do decide to read this book, I have only one thing to say: May the force be with you.
Rating: Summary: The Worst Star Wars Book I Have Ever Read Review: This Book Sucks Is Looooooooong And Drawn Out and most of all boring But to keep the continuity of the series you have to read it sorry
Rating: Summary: Unbelievable even for Sci-Fi standards Review: The only thing I kept saying to myself as I read this book was, "What the heck was the motivation for that action?" First of all, why in the world is the head of state completely ignoring her responsibilities as leader of the free universe to go wandering around in tunnels like an adventurous teenage kid?--the whole Leia as head-of-state thing was just a bad turn in the first place, but that's another story. Either way, the hunch of a hunch of a hunch storyline of this book makes it so incredibly implausible that I was actually mad at myself for taking the time to read it.
