Summary: Better than the first 2 books
Review: I just finished 'Challenges' about 3 min. ago - and had to jump on line to see when the next one was coming out... I thought the first two were repeatative, but I was intrigued by the concept and bought the third. The pace was much faster than the first two books...I can't wait for the rest of the 'action'.

Summary: Challenges: Book 3 of the Blending
Review: I love this author. Sharon Green writes a wonderful fantasy story. I would recommend all of her books to anyone, if you like fantasy.

Summary: It's a good book, but leaves you frustrated
Review: I personally hate having to wait for sequels to come out. Therefore, I was really glad when Challenges came out relatively quickly. The series as a whole is quite entertaining and the storyline intrigueing. However, imagine my frustration to find out Challenges is NOT the end of the story. The story is left completely unresolved. So, if you want a good book to entertain you, go ahead and read this, but be prepared to have to wait once again.

Summary: In transition: Two More!
Review: I read _Challenges_ in essentially one big bite. It keeps you reading throughout, delivers some big scenes and has major development of the characters while providing some exciting twists and further exploration of the corruption of this "perfect" culture. I only rate it at 8 because it is a transitional book. Given the cover design, I'm betting on at least two more: with our heroes left in peril at the end, I hope Ms. Green writes fast!

Summary: I loved it! I need book 4.
Review: I really enjoy these books. The writing is simple and the style is somewhat formulaic, but the plot action is fascinating and the cliff-hanger endings really do keep you moving. Please get book 4 ready and out as soon as possible. I definitely cannot wait!!!

Summary: Good But Not Great
Review: I recently broke my leg and was unable to work for 6 weeks. During this time period I read the first two books of the Blending and was very impressed. Some of the plot twists may be a little conventional but I really like the characters. While some interesting plot points were revealed in this third volume, I thought the first two books in the series were much stronger in advancing the plot. Also I was really disappointed that there was no warning that this was not the last book in the series prior to the ending. I really liked the way the Belgariad by Eddings always listed the titles of the future books and gave information on whether they were published yet or not. In general I would recommend this book, but if it has two more volumes as I suspect, I will wait until the fifth is available before reading the fourth.

Summary: Great Plot, Sketchy Continuity, NEED BOOK 4
Review: I would love to get my hands on book 4 now. I'm not sure how I'm going to wait for it. While the writing style is far from perfect and it is formulaic, it's a lot of fun. This book rings slightly less true than some of the others - Bron, Selendi & Homin have been just faking it? No way! I reread book 2 and it totally doesn't fit. Still, the story is extremely captivating, the characters appealing, and the suspence unbearable. Please finish writing that book fast!

Summary: Pretty Good
Review: It's a good story although its rather long. In book 2 I actually liked Kambil but not anymore and I was surprised about Delin he didn't sound like the kind of person that was crazy but rather very controlled and smooth. I actually thought it would end at book 3 and now I have to find book 4 & 5, as if finding book 3 wasn't hard enough.

Summary: Anticipation of a great meal that arrives w/o a main course
Review: My daughter gave me "Convergence" to read as I have been trying to expand my horizon away from romance novels. I was riveted to the book and quickly devoured "Challenges" and "Competitions". But right at the climax of the story, Book 3 of the Blending ends, leaving us hanging. I thoroughly enjoyed the story thus far. END

Summary: Oh Sharon you have done it to us again!
Review: My husband and I wait with baited breath for the continuation of this story. Like the serial movies of long ago, we are left on the edge of the cliff, dangling. You enrage the reader with the sudden twist at the end, and everyone that I know that has read it is sending mental vibes for you to finish and get the next one on the market. Of all you have written this is some of your best work and we again are vortexed into your world only to be abruptly spit out again. When will that black hole swing by to pick us up for the next trip?
