Summary: DO NOT READ!
Review: This book was the worst Star Wars Book ever written. Luke is again portrayed as a wimpy mere mortal (hence Children of the Jedi) and the plot was so repetive from other Star Wars book, the only good thing was finding out Kullers secret weapon (and even that wasn't very exciting).

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Excellent book to start me reading the rest of the SW novels
Review: A New Rebellion kept my interest throughout. Its pace was quick enough to make it exciting, but eases up just at the right moments. This was the first Star Wars novel I have read, and I am keen to purchase many more now. I enjoyed the trip to the droid factory. Kristine Kathryn Rusch gave it the sense of a womb and a graveyard at the same time, well done. I would liked to have seen Luke win his battle without resorting to gimmickry. I also enjoyed how we are left wondering about Leia's Jedi status. Again, well done.

Summary: A good book
Review: It was a good book to read and I would recomend it to other Star Wars Readers. It has good texture and explainations to every thing that happens in the story. a very good book.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Weak, at best
Review: Not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but it'll cut something. The plot, while starting off well, turned again into a predictble, wimpy-Luke end. When is someone going to treat his character like a MAN- a real Jedi???? I mean, Luke is almost killed by pink blobs from the sky and saved by an old lady?? ARE ANY AUTHORS OUT THERE LISTENING??? Also, What is there in the Force that allows a student go get so powerful that even Vader looks like a wimp. Come-on! Ms. Rusch aparently did not read Lucas' story very well. Pretty pointless book-her only redeeming quality was to write a pretty strong Leia.

Summary: Entertaining
Review: The basic storyline on this Star Wars book is good, What I didn't like was that the author ended every chapter with a fatal line. Anyway the book is quite entertaining.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A Great First Time Book - suspense holds once.
Review: Kristine Rusch wrote a good Star Wars book - I have to say I enjoyed it thoroughly the first time, its suspense was fantastic. However, if you read it once, you know all. Unlike the Zahn novels, you don't realize something new everytime you read the book. There are no new characters that are welcomed in this book either (not including dead ones), which is kind of disappointing.

Summary: BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ. I thought it was as good as the original star wars movies and should be made into a movie. I thought they tied in the new characters in perfectly and it was a great idea to have someone almost as good as a jedi knight as Luke. I loved the part were Luke is almost killed by these floating ballon looking creatures that could stun you. I also the the way they had Luke fight the big white creature then become friends with it. This book was so good I almost got in trouble by my mom because I wouldn't do my homework, all I would do was read this book. If you like star wars you should most definitely "BUY" this book because you are going to have to read it more than once because you will like it so much.

Summary: This was a very good read
Review: This book was one that I could not put down until I finished it. There were a few scenes that caused me great anticipation as to how it would end. Especially the face off between Luke and the villain when Luke remembers how Ben Kenobi chose to win his fight with Vader and decides to try it himself. I wanted to kill the smuggler who was involved myself because of their greed and disregard for others. Anyway, this was a fantastic book and will give fans an adrenaline rush.

Summary: very good
Review: very good book i believe it should come with the john williams sound track when you buy it to give it just the little bit more atmosphere but in other words its one of the best this book is right up there i mean what else could ya want senate gettin blown up a very cool bad guy and luke almost losing in my opinion it shoulda been put in the star wars hall of fame, RED30

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A fast paced and intriguing addition to the Star Wars genre
Review:

As a first time Star Wars author, Kristine Kathryn Rusch has excelantly captured the Star Wars universe at its best. She combined a good fast paced plot with may pieces of material already floating around in Star Wars lore. It's a fun and easy read that you simply don't want to put down.
