Summary: It was STAR WARS, and that saved it.
Review: One word, "DULL" and another, "BLAH". there best character was Anakin, and they sent him Jacen and Jaina to Anoth as soon as the danger started. it had high points, as all books do, I won't read this one again, but I am glad I read it, it'll give me something to put across from Zahn's books on my chart of Star Wars books. so you wanna' know why I read it all? It was suspenceful. Why did I give it four stars? It was Star Wars pure and simple.

Summary: Not too good...
Review: This is the first review of a Star Wars novel that I have not given five stars. Rusch had a good, strong storyline with a lot of separate elements...but when she tried to put it all together, it lost something. I don't know what that something was, but it sure was vital. Sure, Han getting shot in the rear was kinda funny. The explosions in the Senate chamber and Smugglers' Run were frightening and cool (sorry, I have a certain respect for novelists with well-written death scenes). Still the whole mess with Lando stunk, but maybe that's because I've ALWAYS HATED LANDO AND ALWAYS WILL! Leia was a good, strong character, but once again, Luke is a weenie. I don't think most of these authors can go a hundred pages without wounding the poor guy. Give the Jedi a break -- and I'm not talking an arm or a leg! That would be my second-largest complaint. My largest is the fact that Mara Jade was only in about twelve pages of the whole novel! Oh, well, at least Lando wasn't hitting on her again. All in all, there was more wrong with this book than there was right. In the immortal words of Obi-Wan..."It all depends on our point of view," or something like that. Well, in my POV, this book ain't worth six bucks. If you still want to read it, go to a library. May the Force be with you!

Summary: Perfect!
Review: I think this book is one of the best in the Star Wars Universe. It is classic, but still original. I'm reading it again and again, and I don't think I'll ever stop reading it. The language is easy (even for me who originally speak Norwegian), but yet not childish. A person can't call herself/himself for a Star Wars fan without having read this book.

Summary: Excellent!!!!
Review: This is a great book, so do not pass it up. I love the scene in the meeting hall, and the explosion is great, but the New Republic lost some valuble members there. It has a great plot, but I won't tell you anymore , so that you won't be knowing what you're gonna read. I hope you enjoy this book , because it is great!

Summary: Keep on reading
Review: This book was great. The only thing that was discouraging was the slow and slightly confusing beginning, but once the action picked up i hated to put it down!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Satisfactory
Review: There were only two things that I didn't like about this book. The first was that the plot was a little bit washed out. It seemed to me to be a bit on the predictable side. The other thing I didn't like was Han's old smuggler friends, but that's just me. I've never been big on things having to do with smuggler's, bounty hunter's,ect. I do realize that they are an important part of the Star Wars universe, so I can't say they made the book bad.

Here's what I did like:

1)Cole whatever-his-last-name-is. (I don't remember) Finally, someone decides to bring in a character who is just an everyday joe schmo, rather than an all out powerful person who is good at EVERYTHING.

2)Despite my previous mentioning of washed-out plot ideas, atleast this time the superweapon in question was something new. It was not a Death Star/Sun Crusher/Centerpoint Station, but droids? I wouldn't have thought of it, let me just say that much.

3)Readability- Although I think that Barbara Hambly's stories are quite creative, I have to read her books at least three times before I get them, and they still give me a headache just by the way she writes. Everything is so vague. In this book, everything was easy to understand, and things flowed very well.

It was not my favorite of all time (Star Wars), but I'm defenitely happy to have it in my collection.

Summary: Excellent!
Review: I enjoyed this book very much. Some of the charcters were interesting, especially Kueller. The ending was a bit dissapointing, but overall a very good Star Wars novel.

Summary: One of the Elite of Star Wars
Review: Between all of the action, the characters from Han Solo's past, and everything else, I'd have to say that this is possibly the best Star Wars book. And I have read about all of them, too. I own all of them from The Paradise Snare to Vision of the Future with the exeption of three. This is possibly the best that Star Wars has produced and it will be hard to top with future novels.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Been there, done that
Review: Overall, I suppose I would have to say I enjoyed this book. I never felt compelled to put it aside. But I couldn't help but feel I had experienced all this before. Everything felt like a re-run, either directly from the movies or from any of the numerous novels and comics.
