Summary: First Step Into A Larger World
Review: ...this is the first time I have read something from the Jedi Apprentice series. I thought it was a great book!

At no time was I lost. Jude Watson provided enough information so I wasn't perplexed by what was going on. This is a great jumping on point for people who are interested in checking out the series.

I liked this book so much, I have started reading the series from Book 1!

One warning, but I don't think it will be a major issue, DECEPTIONS does reveal a lot of what happens in the regular series. When I saw Bruck in the first book, I already knew his fate. But then so do we with Anakin.

Highly reccomended.

Summary: Spiffy! (Spoiler free review)
Review: Another great (spiffy) book in this installment. Several of my favorite characters reemerge, and Watson is great at tying things all together; a whole bunch of stuff is explained and in such a neat package. Very good writer. Anyway, the plot is very good (sorry for the nondescriptive words) and the characters are well developed and seem very...human, if that's the right word. At any rate, great book-I definetely recommened reading it. Sorry that the review is so short and vague-I didn't want to give too much information and I only had 1,000 words. I digress. Good book-bye-bye. >^..^<

Summary: Heading On to Episode 2!
Review: As usual, Jude Watson is amazing! Even though this is a "kids" book, she manages to write touching relationships and a great story that anyone can enjoy.

What I found so intriguing was the dabbling into Episode 2 territory. She starts to get inside Anakin's head. So if you're ready to start warming up for the fun of Episode 2, then pick up this book and enjoy the ride.

As always, more! I want more of Jude Watson's books!

Summary: A thrilling new special Jedi Apprentice book.
Review: Even a year after it happened, Obi-Wan remains haunted by Bruck's death - and by the nagging thought that he could have done something more to save him. When Bruck's angry father comes to Coruscant and accuses Obi-Wan of deliberately causing Bruck's death, Obi-Wan is forced to face his painful memories. And though he is found innocent, he will never be able to fully put the past behind him. 12 years later, Obi-Wan's master is dead, and he himself is a master - to twelve-year-old Anakin Skywalker. The two are assigned to what should be a routine inspection. Little does Obi-Wan know that this mission will force him to face the events of twelve years before once again. This thrilling new Jedi Apprentice book was a great read I highly reccomend to all Star Wars fans.

Summary: Deceptions
Review: I am a fan of Star Wars, and I enjoy reading the novels, especially those set between Episodes 1 and 2. When Deceptions came out, I read it very quickly and was amazed! Ms. Watson did an excellent job of connecting the stories of Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon to those of Anakin and Obi-Wan. I really enjoyed the suspense around Uni/Kad Chun and was glad that it brought some closure to the issue around the death of Bruck Chun. It was also very interesting to read about the relationship between Obi-Wan and Anakin. I would highly recommend Deceptions to anyone looking for a good read, even if you are not a fan of Star Wars.

Anonymous Jedi also recommends:
1) Jedi Apprentice series
2) Jedi Quest: Path to Truth
(I'm sure the Jedi Quest series will be good, but it has not come out yet.)
3) Anything by Tamora Pierce
4) Welcome to the Ark
5) the Daughters of the Moon series

Summary: Tubachase's review
Review: I belief this book had a good story to it. I enjoyed it very much I think it was cool how they moved from the books of Star Wars Jedi Apprentice to in between Star Wars Episode 1 and Episode 2. It was exciting to think that he got through it at first but then faced with it twelve years later when he has padawan himself. If you are a Star Wars fan this is definate book to read

Summary: This Book is going to Rock!!!!!
Review: I have not yet had a chance to read this book yet becuase I have not yet had a chance to go to the book store and buy it yet.But I have heard some good things about it though. From what I've heard it links back to the "Captive temple" and the death of Bruck chun which waskind of a big things in the jedi apprentice series. I also gathered that it takes palce in two time frames, the jedi apprentice years and after the phantom menance. and poor obi-wan has to deal with the after affects of brucks death even though it was really not his fault! and there is some kind of revenge plaot floating around too. like I said I have not yet read this book but it sounds really itnriguing and I would definately recommend it to anybody that loves star wars.

Summary: Another Gem for the JA
Review: I really loved this book, I think it filled out a lot of the characters that we'd only seen briefly in the other books.

The only thing that really bothered me about it is that it seemed to completely ignore all the events in Rogue Planet. In the Greg Bear novel, they made a big issue of the fact that it was Anakin's first "mission" and yet in "Deceptions" Jude Watson did the same thing. Hmm.

I was pleased with the older Garen as well, I think his small-but-vital role was well written and I'm glad that he and Obi-Wan patched up whatever bad feelings they might have had after Obi-Wan's spiteful words in #7.

I hope they clear up the Tahl/Bant issue soon and I have high hopes that Jude Watson will do so in the next JA book.

Review: I thought it was great. Loved the way it jumped to after Episode 1, Anakin's first mission.
