Rating: Summary: A book for the young at heart. Buy it. Review: Originally read to me in the sixth grade by my English teacher, I fell in love with Oddkins. Since then, years and years later, I still love it. All grown up now, I recently decided to obtain a copy of this rather valuable trinket and I look forward to hanging on to it the rest of my life. If you like a good story or if you have kids or if you have grandkids, get this book now. This is the kind of book that you look forward to reading again and again throughout your lifetime. Long enough to be engaging, but short enough to re-read casually, this is a must have.
Rating: Summary: I loved this book and my grandson will too! Review: A friend let me read his copy, and I wanted to keep it for myself. The toys came to life for me also, I went along on their journey with them. I am now looking for this great book to give my grandson. One of the best Dean Koontz books I have ever read and I have read (I think) nearly all of them.
Rating: Summary: A must have for Koontz fans Review: Although this doesn't fall into the normal realm of Dean Koontz books, it's not hard to pick up on the subtle similarities in this wonderful story for us "bigger kids"! Having grown up in the same small town as the author, I am a die-hard fan! This is a KEEPER for sure!
Rating: Summary: A great book for any age reader. Review: As usual, Koontz does a great job of weaving a tale that will keep the reader turning pages as the night slides quickly into the past. I read it at the age of 20 and loved it.
Rating: Summary: This is the Best Book Review: I find the Oddkins the most wonderful fable EVER. The plot is so intricatley woven it amazes me. I love the story, and aslo the beautiful pictures. I begged and begged, and my father bought it for me. I enjoy it every time I read it. This is a must-read.
Rating: Summary: Great book for all ages! Review: I first heard this book when I was in fourth grade I think. My teacher read it to us, and ever since then, I've loved it. I'm 15 now, and every time I go to the library, I search for it. Unfortunately, they have only 2 copies, and it's never in.
Rating: Summary: This should be the next Disney or Spilburg movie!! Review: I first purchaced and read this tale to my children in 1989. My son carried it to school and the teacher read it to the students during quite time. I never got my copy back. Since then I have purchaced this book twice and will never allow anyone to borrow it again. I now have grandchildren to read it to. This is a classic childrens tale of good vs evil and how much hard work it is for the good to win.
Rating: Summary: A book that every child should hear. Review: I first read this book when I was in third grade. It was a wonderful book! All children should have the chance to hear this story. It has been my favorite story since I've read it. The pictures and animation are great!!!
Rating: Summary: one of the best books I ever read Review: I first read this book years ago in the library. I loved it! I have been searching for this book for five years because I want to re-live the magic of the story and read it over and over again. It's a wonderful story and I'm glad I have read it. I love that story.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful and Exciting Review: I have been reading this book for 7 years to every class of 4th and 5th grade students. Several years I had repeat students. Every year, I get the same request, "Please read Oddkins. We love it!" Or, "Will you read Oddkins to us this year, Joe told me it was a cool book." This book deals with a lot of issues that children today deal with. The positive messages Koontz conveys to children (and even adults) are wonderful! It is a must read book for every child!
