Summary: Once again an exceptional story!
Review: Others have said it and I'll say it again Robert Stanek has set a new standard in fantasy with his groundbreaking Ruin Mist Chronicles. I love the way the story pulls you along and the scenes/scenery changes rapidly. The only books I've ever read that read as fast or as good have been thrillers. Does that make Ruin Mist Chronicles the first Fantasy Thriller? I think so, definite good read any way you look at it.

Summary: Just read it
Review: Robert Stanek has written a tremendous fantasy series. Like others have said the first book Keeper Martin's tale was a well written introduction but Kingdom Alliance is top drawer. It definitely ranks in the top five of any fantasy series I have read. Stanek has a knack for language and is able to create a vivid world with a cast of charactres you care about. We view the world through several characters, the main ones being Adrina, a princess, Vilmos, a wizard in training, Seth, a warrior elf, Emel, a knight, and Myrial, a servant. We get to see and feel what the characters are seeing and feeling. It's not as complex as say wheel of time or song of fire and ice but it is much more satisfying. Plus it's an excellent read and I don't see how you could be disappointed. Like most series you need to read all 3 books to get the full effect, and the first book is good but not as good as this one. A must-read for people who liek fantasy epics.

Summary: Excellent! Fast-paged and good
Review: Robert Stanek writes from the point of view of multiple characters in this amazing and wonderful fantasy book. An intricate plot and fascinating characters are portrayed across a vividly depicted world. This is another excellent book, and I recommend it VERY highly. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Summary: A new must-read fantasy!
Review: Stanek's debut "Keeper Martin's Tale" was one of the finest fantasies to appear in recent years. "Kingdom Alliance", Stanek's third in the series (and the second chapter in the "Ruin Mist Chronicles" series) lives up to the promise of its predecessor.

Stanek's greatest achievements here in "Kingdom Alliance" is his viewpoint characters. While "Keeper Martin's Tale" was told maily through the eyes of Adrina, Seth, Xith and Vilmos, "Kingdom Alliance" adds the viewpoints of Emel, Myrial, Midori and Galan. These characters are vividly portrayed and range from simple people trying to survive to kings and queens. Unlike most fantasy there are no super heroes, pure goodie goodies or pure bad baddies. The characters are very real with real desires, emotions and problems.

The book has many parts that blow you away. When Robert Stanek writes well, he writes superbly, drawing you into his story of the shattering of the kingdom alliance and all that means for a world that has known peace for generations. Many scenes are written so brilliantly you can actually picture them in your mind down to the finest detail and you feel everything the characters feel. Scenes like Myrial facing down Bever, Midori (Delinna) betraying Adrina, Adrina confronting the Dragon King, Edward and Vilmos playing King's Mate, the Trios, Adrina's kidnapping, Valam assassination you are completely engulfed in the stunning brilliance.

"Kingdom Alliance" is not without flaws. Its not gritty or bloody like Martin/Erikson. Characters don't die senselessly after making stupid decisions (Martin), but characters do die so you best be prepared to lose some of your favorites. While the details as good, it doesn't have the intricate details of some epics--thus the reason the book is 350 pages instead of 800. However, after reading several 800 and 1000 page books back to back reading "Kingdom Alliance" is like a breath of fresh air. The details are just enough so you can see it all, not so much you get bogged down in them.

Despite a few flaws, "Kingdom Alliance" is an excellent read. It ranks up there with the best. It is extremely different from most other fantasy. It has realistic writing and engaging characters. With this book, Stanek has shown himself to be an important new voice in fantasy and he has surpassed many other authors whose books are time-fillers between the next book from a favorite author.

After this one, I don't see how Stanek wouldn't be a favorite author of any true fantasy fan. I can't wait for Stanek's next book, Fields Of Honor. This is an excellent series.

Summary: This is a very entertaining book!
Review: There is no book better!! Kingdom Alliance is just amazing, it's the best book I've ever read in my whole life, well, that book and all the others! Everything that has to do with Ruin Mist is awesome!

I have read all of the Harry Potter books and Ruin Mist Chronicles books are just as good and in many ways better. With every chapter there's more adventure and you can't wait to just flip the page and see what come's next because with every word you feel like you know Vilmos, Adrina, Seth, Emel and the others more and more... It's a life where you can eat everything at dinner, lunch, and breakfast! Where you are friends with half giants half trolls, elves, and more!

I liked this book a lot because you get to guess what happens later. I normally guess wrong but thats ok. Thats the fun part! If you can't guess what happens next then you will never put down the book. Have fun reading!

Summary: Such a good series
Review: This book is a really well written book that I thouroughly enjoyed. When you come to one of the many good parts it is fantastic. The characters after a while, feel like your best friends like you've known them forever. It is a great book. Lots of intrigue, suspense, action, mystery, romance, just about everything really. I'm still waiting for the next one to come out!

Summary: Now I know why everyone loves this series
Review: This book was my favorite of all these books (keeper martin, elf queen, and kingdom alliance). It's rare I read a book that draws me in so completely that I can't do anything else but read. I read at lunch instead of eating, stayed up late to read, took the book with me to the bathroom. This was one of those books and now I know why everyone one loves this series so much. Robert Stanek is a wonderful writer. There is nothing with which I can find fault about this book. Stanek's writing in this book is strong. I have never been so emotionally wrapped up with a character in a book as I have been with Adrina Alder, Vilmos Tabborath, Emel Brodst, Keeper Martin, Father Jacob, Myrial, Seth. Kudos to Robert Stanek. Excellent series as a whole, made exceptional by this book. I couldn't even pick up another book for weeks after I finished this one, I knew I wouldn't find anything nearly as good to read! I will certainly pick up the subsequent novels and look out for his other books as well.

Summary: SImply Amazing
Review: This is another great installment to Ruin Mist Chronicles. If you are looking for a great book and a great fantsay series, this is the one to read. All three of the books in Ruin Mist Chronicles got me hooked to it right away. It all has to do with Mr. Stanek's style. His style is unique and the books are full of interesting characters.

This book is a must read. Read it, you won't regret it!

Summary: The new focal point of the genre
Review: When I first read Keeper Martin's Tale it took me a few chapters to get into it. Then by Chapter 12 "Vangar Forest" I was so hooked I couldn't put it down. Chapters 12 to 29 are filled with sweeping action scenes that in my opinion are only rivaled by Tolkien's battle-filled Two Towers. Kingdom Alliance deals with the aftermath in a way that is equally sweeping and epic in scale.

As other reviewers have said Robert Stanek has set a new standard for the genre. Keeper Martin's Tale proves you don't have to build up for 10 books to the epic battle. Tolkien knew this and so does Stanek.

In Kingdom Alliance we learn what is taking happening in the kingdoms. King's mate, the trios, and the dragon tower are three of the most amazing things I've ever read about in a book. Read it and you'll know why so many readers think so highly of this series. I can't wait for "Fields of Honor" and "Mark of the Dragon".

Steal this book if you have to, a must for any fantasy fan.
