Summary: A great novel that fills in the gap TLC and Dark Empire
Review: When I started reading the book and saw that the rouges were at the batlle of Bilbringi i thought "This is great" the book really filled in the gap between The Last Command and the graphic novel Dark Empire. Near the end both Issard and Krennel plan to atck Corusant while the fleet is away. The rest of the warlords prbably plan to do that too and the war descrobed at the beginng of Dark Empire erupts. While I think that Star Wars should definnetly stop resureccting characters (that's the only reason I gave this book 4 stars) 'cause it makes it feel too unrealistic i liked seeing Issard again. The storyline, as always with Michael A. Stackpole was great, as were the space batlles. In conclusion I think this is one of the better x Wing books.

Summary: Lacks aaron Allstons Humour
Review: This was a good book, as were all the X-Wing Books. But after the Wraith Squadron episodes, Rouge squadron is a bit boring. This book lacks the humour that Aaron Allston gave the series and the Wraiths had much more interesting and varied personalities. I wish that Stackpole had usedc more points of view, wedge and corran over and over again, the droids bit was good though. Over all the Rouges are brilliant, but please bring back the wraiths their inter-squadron relationships really gave and added zest to the series.

Summary: WELCOME BACK STACKPOLE!
Review: Michael Stackpole does it again with the eight novel of the X-wing series. Like the others, I could not put this down. The dogfights were intense, as always. The part I probably liked the most is when Booster really laid the smack down on Borsk Fey'la. It was about time that somebody did it. I can't wait for book nine. I recommend this book and the entire series.

Summary: A Thrilling Finale! Or is it?
Review: This book encompasses the entire series, with some really unexpected dropoffs and turns. Rouge Squadron will always be better than the Wraiths, treated by Aaron Allston in this same series. Also, the way that Stackpole involes the Bilbringi Battle in the early part of the book was brilliant. All in all, this book is well worthy of the name STAR WARS.

Summary: This was the great one of the whole series!
Review: This was the great one of the whole series. Isard's Revenge utilized all the great aspects of starwars - starship fighting, groundtroop assults, negotiating, espionage, the force, and of course humor and love. But the reason this one was the best, is the fact that droids had a great role and a humerous part (enough said, i don't want to spoil anything.) It's brilliant and definitly worth your while.

Summary: It 's getting old...
Review: Star Wars is getting old...Maichael A. Stackpole is a good author, don't get me wrong. I just think he needs to drop the whole x-wing deal, this is what? His fifth book and after every one I feel like I have earned less and less out of reading the book. For instance, in this book, he had no major enemy to deal with (cause he got 'em all in the other books) so he just up and created a warlord (how fitting), then to top it off he joins the warlord up with a cloned previous enemy, (Well, what'd you know, where have we heard that before.) and he books become increainlgly more soapy because of lack of material.

In my opinion, try Wriath Squadron for a little humor, then ditch them completely and try something like Isaac Assimov's Foundation Trilogy.

Summary: Great!!
Review: This book is a wonderful addition to the X-Wing books. While it isn't my favorite, it also isn't really terrible, either. And, hey, Wedge finally agrees to become a General.(No, I'm not giving any thing away, it happens in Chapter Two, people.) This book is a must-have for anyone who has read the X-Wing books.

Summary: Stackpole is great at Battletech.. Star Wars, not so much
Review: Stackpole is an awesome author. But he still doesn't have the STAR WARS universe down yet. Little things like time and distance measurements are in earth terms whereas, in other STAR WARS books they use STAR WARS "Standard" time and distance units. If I read about Wedge swallowing the lump in his throat or bite his lower lip one more time I will puke. Other than that, good read with alot of twists and turns. =)

Summary: i'm not done reading the book but
Review: so far im in the middle and there has been lots of action concerning the main charcters which has been interesting.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best darned book yet
Review: Mr. Stackpole has really outdone himself this time. After a trio of books by Mr. Allston, Stackpole comes back with a vengeance.

The storyline, the character, the action, everything seems to come together. As the New Republic comes back from battling Thrawn, they must deal with Prince-Admiral Krennel of Ciutric. Along the way, Ysanne Iasrd, presumed long dead, appears out of nowhere to take control. But there is more to her agenda than just hers.

My favorite part of the story was when the battle above Distna and it appeared that the universe lost the bravery of Asyr Sei'lar and Wes Janson. But they come back nonetheless.

All in all, this was a great book. One of the best. Can't wait for the next one.
