Rating: Summary: Where's Book #6! Review: Once again, Jude Watson has proven that there's nobody does the Jedi Apprentice series better that her! From the moment I bought this book, I couldn't put it down, and asa soon as I had finished it, I loved it so much, I read it again! Now, I feel like I'm going to go crazy because I just can't seem to find the 6th and 7th books anywhere (except here - hmm...). All I can say is carry on writing, Jude Watson!
Rating: Summary: Damn, when do they come out with the 7th book! Review: From the moment Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan land on Melida/Daan the action begins. And they land on Melida/Daan in the 2nd page... that should tell you how good this book is. Anyway, this was such a good book, the storyline changed with every page. You could never tell what would happen in the end. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AND WELCOME!
Rating: Summary: I am trapped in a Galaxy Far,Far Away.... Review: From the moment they land on Melida/Daan, to the end, where Qui-Gon leaves alone, my mind would not leave the pages. I was entranced that one stunning moment, when Obi-Wan says, "I've found something here more important than the Jedi." And I kept muttering "No," uncontrolably once he did. This great book fascinated me with the Jedi's ways, and I'm sure that, if you read this book, you would be, too. Cerasi, the agile, heartbroken young girl, and Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan's master. Obi-Wan is torn between such a tough choice. It is a great book that leaves you yearning for more. Read this book, and prepare to be amazed.
Rating: Summary: This Book Is 'Da Bomb! Review: This book was so cool! I had the privilage of reading this book and then reading #6 immediatly after. I started reading in my classroom, and then we had to go to lunch. I was read all the way through lunch and when Obi-Wan decided to stay, I started muttering "No, this is bad, no, this is really bad!" and all of my friends started to wonder about my mental saneness! I'm in the target reading range...but I can understand that adults would want to read it. It's not really challenging, it was something nice, easy, and fun to read. I highly recommend it! Have a blast reading, and keep up the good work, Jude!
Rating: Summary: Perspective of The Defenders of the Dead Review: Excellently written, and an incredible and ironic ending give this book a total punchline for suspense in the Jedi:Apprentice series. Neild and Cerasi are two corrupt characters that when reading about their hatred, and Obi-wan's view of their passion, gave me a sense of thought that I have never had before. Explaining so much detail, not repeating information and a excellent description of Qui-Gon's emmotion when Obi-wan decides to stay on Melida/Daan. Although one thing that I must worry about is the future elements of the story in Jedi Apprentice #6. Jude Watson displays a cunning view of how kids can make so much of a difference. Never have I seen a series of books like Jedi: Apprentice. The Young and the truce of stopping the Melida and Daan from any more war is nearly a metaphoric moral that has been intrecated into the story to the point where it displays an interesting point. It's almost as if, the kids live under abusive parents, and their emmotions are so stirred up with hatred that they will stop at nothing to fix their parents relationship. In this story it's much the same. For this reason, I love the story, the book, and the moral. I have also read every other Jedi:Apprentice book except for #6. This one is the best I have read out of the entire series.
Rating: Summary: The Defenders of the Dead Review: This is most definitely the best book in the series so far. The end gives me chills when I read it! One can only wonder what will happen next? (Although it is a bummer that you already know that Obi-Wan is going to be a Jedi anyway)
Rating: Summary: No longer all sleepers... Review: I am an avid Star Wars fan, so I started getting this series from my younger sister's book orders. The books before this are mostly boring sleepers, but with this book, it's starting to pick up the pace with this exciting installment. I'm anticipating the next one. By the way, what's this about "for ages 9-12"? I'm 14!
Rating: Summary: Oh, the torture! Review: The next one doesn't come out till FEBRUARY! That is so unfair! This book is awesome, despite the fact that I flung it across the room as soon as I was finished with it. (It was Obi-Wan's fault, not Ms. Watson's.) I cannot believe what he did! Other than that, this was just another awesome Jedi Apprentice book. Somehow, I kept waiting for Nield and Cerasi to wave the French flag and start singing (Red, the blood of angry men, Black, the dark of ages past...) But that may have been the Les Miserables CD I was listening to at the time. All in all, a great book! Please hurry up with the next one!
Rating: Summary: Do not stop writing Waston........ Review: When I first got this book I read it almost at once, as I read the first few chapters they turned out to be very good. Then last chapters of the book held me hanging my seat, and was also starting to feel sorry for Qui-gon Jinn that Obi-wan had to turn away from the jedi's rules. O was I ashamed of Obi-wan Kenobi in the last 3 or 4 chapters. I just hope Qui-gon and Obi-wan get togather in bopok #6 or I will be one unhappy reader! Jude Waston keep up the great writing! P.s. If anyone wanted to know when Star Wars The Phantom Menace is coming to buy or rent the date is April 4, 2000.
Rating: Summary: NO! BAD ENDING! BAD ENDING! Review: I loved the book! it was really cool how the suspence is so high! I wish that it wasn't such a cliff hanger! It is so bad! IT's like that you can't even sleep. You just have to se what happens to Ob-1.
