Summary: Heir to the Shadows : Book 2 of the Black Jewels Trilogy
Review: The story of Jaenelle, Daemon, Lucivar, and Saetan continues. The characters in this series are so amazing, so powerful, so loving, so dark, and so dangerous. In this book you'll meet even more characters that will become a part of the family, who you'll fall in love with. Where "Daughter of the Blood" focused more on Daemon's and Jaenelle's relationship, this chapter of the series will focus on Lucivar's relationship with Witch. These books are filled with such humor, power, love, loss and fear; you'll be pulled into the story and wont want it to end! The Black Jewels Trilogy is one of the best trilogies I have ever read!

Summary: Part of the BEST trilogy! A great read by Anne Bishop!
Review: I have to say that this trilogy was the best I have ever read. It is compelling, compassionate, and a wonderful read. I could never put them down. The characters (especially Jaenelle, Saetan, Daemon, Lucivar, and other friends and kindred) become so alive and so easy to relate to/understand. These books make you want to laugh, cry, and feel happy, relieved, and sad for characters. The world is so well described and created that all parts are easily imaginable and vivid. These were such great books! I reccommend them to anyone with an open mind and looking for a great fantasy read!

Summary: Long live the Darkness...
Review: And so the saga continues. What was begun in Daughter of the Blood grows to maturity in this second stunning chapter in the web of Story. As engrossing as the first book, Heir to the Shadows will wrap its dark wings around your heart and become a part of you. No one who has read this book and truly experienced all it has to offer remains unchanged by that contact. It sings to one's soul and touches the deepest parts of the human psyche with understanding while simultaneously racing toward the triumph of Witch and the return of love and honor to a world that desperately needs their touch again. The characters live again in this story, almost more real than reality itself. Laughing and crying with them, one feels as if one is a part of their world, separate from the mundane details of this terrestrial orb. Jaenelle, Daemon, and all the rest will become members of your family, in spirit and in your heart. Do you believe in Witch?

Summary: A great series so far...
Review: I really enjoyed this book because it brought out one of my favorite characters of the series, Lucifer. I felt so bad for him, being locked away in the salt mines with his poor wings rotting away... :( I really enjoy the relationship between Daemon and Lucifer, because they both love each other, yet hate each other. *Being brothers, and all* It makes it very interesting to read them interact with each other, and I can't wait for the next book. *Just to say, my favorite seen in the book was when Lucifer escapes the salt mines and makes a run down the canyon even though his power is running out and his wings can't support him anymore....LUCIFER! (( sob ))*

Summary: THE OTHERSIDE OF THE TRIANGLE
Review: Outstanding book! I enjoyed "watching" Lucivar become a big brother to Jaenelle. There were sections where I laughed, cheered and cried. Book one introduced the Father/Mirror and Consort while this one brought into focus the other side of the triangle, Brother and Father. I especially liked Karla-Kiss, Kiss- and all the other friends of Witch. Who would've thought that the High Lord of Hell would have a housefull of children, who call him either Uncle Saetan or Papa High Lord, and enjoy it?

Summary: A mezmerizing story!
Review: Anne Bishop weaves the perfect tale in the second book of the Black Jewels trilogy. The characters are frighteningly alive. The witches, warlords and kindred make for the ultimate dream weaving. I literally was unable to put it down and eagerly await Queen of the Darkness.

Summary: This trilogy rocks my world!
Review: Poor poor Saetan! Poor Jaenelle! This book made me laugh and cry alternately. I love these books and can't wait for the next one! Each in better than the last in different ways. I cried at the death of the Unicorns and Kaetien.

Long live Witch!

Summary: Better than the first
Review: I enjoyed this book more than the first one because of several reasons. First, the book is lighter and more fun to read. There were places that I found myself laughing at the mess that the got themselves into. it was also neat to see Saetan as a loving father and not a cruel demon. There was still enough of the dark feeling to the book that made the first one enjoyable. I wish that Daemon was in the book more. It was expected that he didn't play that much because he was mad. There is only so much you can say about a mad person. That could also be a reason that Tersa didn't play that much in the first book, but was mentioned more in the second. I have one problem, what am I going to do until the third book come out?

Summary: BEST BOOK IN THE WORLD!!!! (so far, anyway)
Review: I've been looking for a great series for a loooong time. This is the one! Anne Bishop gives you a clear idea of what she's trying to say. She also doesn't take up two paragraphs with nothing but descriptions! (I absolutely HATE it whan writers do that!) She sucks you up in her dark realm, and you feel what the characters are feeling, and you literally forget yourself...wow. Not many authors can do that. My advice to you: READ THE BOOK! BUY IT! GRAB IT BEFORE ANYONE ELSE TAKES IT!!!
