Summary: i'd give it 200 stars if i could!
Review: ok here I am, back again, i've read the book and ok it is perfect! Anne Bishop has got to be the best writer of all time! I've been wanting to know more about Luciver and i finally got the chance! and... oops can't give away the book, but the book ends the worst way! well i mean it's a wonderful way but it's realy annoying because it's cliffhanger type. but still when i get the third book i'll do what i did when i got this one get down on my knees thank god for getting the book to be so fast run to my room and read it about 20 times! Sooo basically I am telling all of you to go out there and read this book, and that means the entire trilogy as soon as you can!

Summary: Mildly disappointing....
Review: I loved Daughter of the Blood, read it over and over (well, certain passages, at least) and have been eager and waiting the next. The day I got it, I read it in its entirety and found myself very disappointed. The characters seem to lose who they were and become an entirely different person, the whole book could be tightened up significantly, a lot of loose ends go no where. I find myself hoping for the final book to prove to myself that this second book was just a mistake - just Anne Bishop trying to turn in something from the deadline. Bottom line: Read Daughter of the Blood again if you want a truly good read.

Review: Heir to the Shadows is finally available, and it was worth the wait! Though at a slightly slower pace than Daughter, Heir moves steadily along with new twists and surprises at every turn!When I began reading Heir, my first question was "What will happen to Jaenelle?" but that quickly turned into the famous "Will they ever be together?" I have to admit that I was slightly disappointed that the Sadist wasn't mentioned as much as I would have liked (*swoon*), but as a whole, the book was great. Heir to the Shadows is a marvelous addition to the Dark Jewels Trilogy!--A must read! All praise to Bishop!

Summary: My favorite favorite favorite favorite book ever!
Review: Wow. 'Daughter of the Blood' was fantastic. It completely caught me up in the adventures of the characters, and the whole thing was so dark and glittering with forbidden, dark, secret magic. The characters were the best part, though. I hope the sequel treats the characters nicely! Especially Surreal. She has become my new idol, I think. I've read the book literally about one hundred times, just waiting for the next book to come out. I can't wait! Anne Bishop has gotten me completely hooked. I even keep a little calendar with a countdown to the publication date!! My only fear is that the sequal might not be as good. I mean, It has a LOT to live up to! But I have faith in the trilogy. Summary: Absolutely Fantastic!!!!! So good that it melts my bone.
Review: After much anticipation, I've finally gotten my hot little hands on this book. And folks, it's not good, it's Fantastic!!!! Beyond words. This second installment picks up right Jaenelle's brush with death and continues on until...that's right, she came into her full glorious power as Witch. Along the way, I laughted, cried, and laughted as Ms. Bishop took us through a fasinating journey. All of those friends in the Forbidden Territory that was refered to in the first novel comes to light. And you will love them. But beware, you will cry for Daemon and others...just as surely you will feel the tenticles of hope at the end of this book and desperately wish that the third book would come out right away. I just spent 6 continuous hours reading this book and it felt like minutes...ah well, I guess I must somehow wait for the third installment...but Ms. Bishop, HURRY!!!

Review: I've read Daughter of the blood over so many times I pretty much know it back and forth, Heir to the Shadows,since it will continue where the 1st left off, has to be almost as good at the third book will be!( i say that because i know that the end of the trilogy has to i mean really has to be great) I've been on the edge of my seat waiting for this book to come out and as long as Daemon doesn't become demon-dead and Luciver and Surreal stay alive and we learn more about them I think I'll be able to hold off till the third book, Anne Bishop is the greatest writer ever!

Review: I just finished reading daughter of the blood and loved it! I can't wait until this next one comes out! I hope Jannelle grows up before the end of the series because her and Daemons relationship interests me and i am left wondering what will happen when she finnaly comes of age.

Review: Well, guys it is finally almost in our hot little hands. Heir to the Shadows is almost to the shipping stage, and the saga of Jaenelle and Daemon and Saetan(et al) Is ready to continue. If this is even half as good as Daughter of the Blood(and Anne assures me that it is) We are all in for a treat... oh and for those of you out there like me, who haven't even gotten their hands on this one yet and already want the the third one, there is hope Anne was already working on it last year when I asked. Let us all pray, and beg and plead...... until we get all three.

Summary: Can It Top Daughter Of The Blood?
Review: I certainly hope so, although it will be VERY tough to top Daughter of the Blood! I am hooked on this series! To know the characters in this world is to love them. I hope that we find out more about Surreal and Lucivar -- and that Daemon and Jaenelle's bond remains tight! I fear though that Daemon will become one of the demon-dead. It claims that he makes the ultimate sacrifice for Jaenelle -- I fear that he'll sacrifice his life and soul for her.
