Rating: Summary: Good rebound from number two Review: Well, this is a good ending to an up and down trilogy. The first part of Book I was awesome. The three seperate stories of Elbryon and Pony and Avelyn was very well done and eciting. But as soon as they all got together, it got annoying. In the second book, all they did was clear the forest of goblins and other creatures. Just one lame fight after another. Most had nothing to do with the plot, but hey, this is a Salvatore novel, so it must have fighting in it!In this last book he has rebounded nicely and it is definitely the best of the three. I have no problem with the ending. I started to hate Elbryon and his lofty morals and self-righteousness. He was making me sick. He cries when he kills a human? Is this Fantasy Adventure or some sissy war novel? Give me a break. And Pony, oh she's soooo powerfull and her use of the stones is soooo mush stronger then anyone else just b/c she mended with Avelyn. Speaking of Avelyn, can I not hear his name mentioned again please? Avelyn this, Avelyn that. Enough already. They talk about him over and over to death. He helped killed the Demon Dactyl. Whoopdee-do. Can we move on with things now? That was 1000 pages ago. Still, this third book was much better then the others of this disappointing series. Salvatore does a good job of pulling everything together at the end. And if he wants to continue the story with the Demon (SPOILER!!!) spirit within the child of Elbryon and Pony, so what? It's his book.
Rating: Summary: END IT! Review: While I tremendously enjoyed the premise of the Demon Wars trilogy, I wish RA Salvatore had ended it. I knew I was in trouble when I neared the end. Leaving the ending so obviously unconcluded was a big let down. I wonder when the next trilogy will start? And more importantly, when will it end?
