Rating: Summary: An end as well as the transition... Review: This book was one of Salvatore's best so far. It has everything that his fans have come to know and love about his writing (except maybe a dark elf). But I have read that some thing that the ending may be week, but that is not at all the case. This book was not only the end of a trilogy, but also the stepping stone to the next novel in the series, and I am sure that I will not be able to put that book down either.
Rating: Summary: The greatest fantasy author Review: This book, alongside with "The Hidden City" by David Eddings and "A Darkness at Seythanon" by Raymond E. Feist is the best fantasy. Sad, intriguing, full woith action, magic and human drama it must be considered as an icon to the fantasy-genre....
Rating: Summary: SO ends chapter one of the demon wars! Review: This is by far Salvatores best written book. Although dark elf fans may disagree. This is great and epic departure for Salvatore. I encourage all of his darkelf fans to look at this series. The characters are more real than in his other writtings. You may be very supprise in how it all ends.
Rating: Summary: WOW!!! Review: This is once again an excellent book by Salvatore. He wrapped up the trilogy well with a strong ending, and a possibilty for future expansion. Like his other books, he goes into great detail on all of the events of the story, and ties in the events of the other two in the series. One more in a long string of excellent stories.
Rating: Summary: serious let down. Review: This is the first time I have been disappointed in a Salvatore novel. The first two demonwars books left me very eager to read the conclusion. Now my conclusion is that I should have stopped after the second one and just imagined how it could have been a fantastic trilogy. Not only did I think the ending was horrible, but it felt very unlike a Salvatore written ending. Even the final battle scenes seemed disjointed and lacked the imagination and awesome detail of his previous efforts. I found I even liked the characters a lot less by the end of this one.(the ones that live anyway)Not a chance I will read the next one. I only hope his fine work based in the forgotten realms doesnt go down this same road.
Rating: Summary: Another good sequel Review: This one sets the stage for future events in the series, with quite a bit of forshadowing on the cover art. I'll let you figure that one out for yourself, I don't want to ruin this for anybody. As I said in other reviews the character developement in Salvatore's writing is wonderful, also the fact that he is not afraid to kill off a character gives the series quite a realistic feeling to it, in spite of the elves, giants, and magic use. :)
Rating: Summary: The greatest book and series I ever read Review: This one's for you Mr. salvatore. This series of books has made me love to read. I used to hate reading until my friend recomended this series. If you're reading this, I just want to say thank you. This series has impacted me in so many ways. Also, not that I'm telling you how to do your job, I think you should make movies out of all three books; kind of like the "STAR WARS" movies. Thank you and please try to write back.
Rating: Summary: Yet another great book. Review: This was a remarkable book, I think that it was one of his best yet. But one thing that bothers me, Elbryan.........can't help, his son........is evil, the strongest man in the world is still alive and evil, the Elves will perish soon, and Pony is the only one left, I don't know how Salvatore is gonna write his way out of this one.
Rating: Summary: THE BEST OF 'EM ALL Review: This was the best of RAS's works! So awesome! It had so many tragic events, suspense, imagination... the end is such a surprise too!
Rating: Summary: sad about the ending Review: Well, I thought the trilogy was well-written. Salvatore clearly had fun with his characters and his battles and bad guys and all that good stuff. And I will not deny that it's great to add a twist to the end, so that you're sucked right into a sequel if there is one, and so that you don't have that too-easy honky-dory ending feeling. However. It does not draw me into another series if my favorite character is dead. I won't tell which one, or why, or who, or anything like that (the other reviews already say this much so I feel safe). I was disappointed, and while I want to know what happens, I'm not drawn to another book on this subject, despite all that was left hanging (which makes this much more of a series and less of a trilogy, if you ask me). The book was well-written, though, and I don't think the ending was necessarily bad. I do recommend this trilogy. Just be prepared to be a little discouraged if you let yourself get caught up in Salvatore's (very good) characters.
