Summary: An excellent conclusion
Review: The Demon Apostle is one of the few books that went beyond what I expected it to be. Salvatore is an excellent author and has always excelled at writing about action and the way a character thinks, and The Demon Apostle is no exception. With the conclusion to the Demon War trilogy, I believe he has written a brilliant conclusion to a series that is as unpredictable as it is exciting. This is without a doubt the best in the series, and I would recommend it to every fan of fantasy.

Summary: Wish I'd Never Read It
Review: The DemonWars Trilogy is the first Salvatore series that I've read and while the first two books weren't great they were well-written and fun to read. Most of 'Demon Apostle' was poorly written and not fun to read. To top it off, my favorite character and, in my opinion, the sole redeeming quality of the book, gets knocked off at the end. Suffice it to say but you'd have to pay me to read the next DemonWars Trilogy.

Summary: Great stuff...
Review: The final chapter is one of the best fantasy "climaxes" I've encountered. Supposedly this is the end of the trilogy, but the story is far from over. Besides that final, gripping revelation, I'm also wondering what is going on at Mount Aida. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Summary: Great book until the ending
Review: The first two books in this trilogy were great, yet I have to say that this one was very disappointing. The story was good up until the last few chapters, where it felt rushed, like he had gotten tired of the series and wanted a quick ending. There's a bit of a play on the emotions of the reader, which didn't work on me because of the way the book ends. I agree with one of the other reviews here, where the reviewer suggested that he should have stopped reading after the second book and just imagined how it ended.

There is a twist at the ending as well, which is very predictable, and badly timed - it has the same rushed quality as the rest of the ending. While this might be acceptable in a "B" movie, it's rather amateurish in this trilogy.

Summary: Where's the love?
Review: The first two books were phenomenal. But it turns into an emotional and political soap opera in this one.
Pony does some ignorant, selfish stuff in this book... and the elves are a bit self-centered and callous, too. ...

But, the characters, particularly Nightbird, were exceptionally built. More so than the plot... which is why the plot cannot endure, nor do justice to, what occurs at the end of this one (trying not to spoil). The first two books were exceptional reading, but with the anti-climatic end to the third (I was very dissapointed, after hundreds of pages of bad turn after bad turn for the heros), I doubt that Pony's underdeveloped character will hold up in the fourth book.
The saga seems to be turning into something different than what I started to read. And it forshadows four more books full of pain, loss, and sacrifice.

Summary: THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY
Review: The good is that this book explains much about politics, the state vs. church power struggle, and the geography of Corona, not known in the first two books. The character development was also fairly well done. The bad is there are not much of the action and battle scenes known and loved from Salvatore. And the ugly is the good guys don't actually win in the end, if this was the end. But overall, I thought this book was really well done and a good end to a great trilogy.

Summary: On the comeback trail
Review: The third installment of Salvatore's series is a marked improvement over Demon Spirit. Salvatore expands the scope of the world he has created, delving into the political and social climate of the country of Honce-the-Bear. Although this book is the third of the trilogy, have no fear, it appears as though Salvatore has more in store for us.

Summary: Thats so sad
Review: This book is great, but if you have fallen in love with the characters you will want to know that there is a tradgedy at the end

Summary: A great read
Review: This book is really one of Salvatore's best so far. It has everything that his fans have come to expect from him. And I really think that the strenght of this book is his ending. At first it may look weak, But by looking a little longer you will find that it's not the case. What append to the heros of this book will never append to the dark elf and is friend. When a read a book about Drizzt I dont fear for him. I know nothing will never append to him. Gods could appear before him and he will kick ther ***. Bruenor had been dead and now he live, Wulfgar had been dead and now he live. Atemis Entreri had been dead and now he live. Drizzt will never die so dont fear for him. BUT NOW WE KNOW. We know that bad thing can append to our heros. So now we will care for them, we will fear for them, because we know that they are not invincible and I love that.

Summary: Could have been Better!
Review: This book or Trilogy for that matter, in no way compares to his previous works! But it does make for some light fantasy reading. If you enjoy the style of Salvatore, this is one that you realy should not miss. The protagonist is not overly developed, and the reader certainly does not make that connection like in the Drizzit novels, but who can top that! Anyway, I do recommend this novel and the two previous, as long as your expectations are not too high!

JIM!
