Rating: Summary: BORING! Review: This was the most BORING Star Wars book ever written. You go into the book expecting the series to improve after the first book, but it does NOT improve, instead getting worse. In retrospect, it seems that NOTHING happened in the whole book, from listening to the Kuat guy thinking about nothing for 20(!) pages, to Xizor talking to some bug alien, to Boba Fett sitting on a ship acting as stupid as possible. The characters are so poorly portrayed that they're barely recognizable. the only upside to the book is that it actually ended.
Rating: Summary: Star Wars -Slave Ship, book 2 of 3- (Seafire12) Review: This is the second book in a long drawn out series. Basicaly this book answers few questions not answered from book 1 and tries to tie everything up for a huge finale. Unfortunatley the finale is lame in book 3. The point of this whole series is plot twists. That is the only thing that keeps you into these books. Even with many twists, the series falls short.
Rating: Summary: For a trip to nowhere, its a very scenic route Review: The most disappointing thing I found about this novel was that for all the action the reader reads involving Boba Fett, Bossk, and bounty-hunting in general, almost everything talked about has happened in the past, meaning we know how things will turn out in the end. The whole book is spent with Dengar sitting aboard the Hound's Tooth retelling the story, and only seems to serve as a transitional book between 1 and 3. The good points to the novel include further characterization of Xizor, Kuat and his family line, and while the book's finale is written in the past, the double/triple crosses make it a good read. If you read book 1, read this book, so you can enjoy book 3, which is the best of the cycle
Rating: Summary: Sentient Weapon? Feeds on Human spirits? Review: This book was actually quite good. I enjoyed it while I was reading it. All I ask for from a Star Wars book.Good things: Kuat's character was so fleshed out. Fenald was neat too. I liked the family meeting and the treachery and the vibroblades popping out. Kudar Mu'bat, while having a really stupid name, was a little expanded on in this book as well. Balancesheet shows promise. Bad things: Thrihnn Voss'on't, while having a really stupid name, was kind of neat but I have to wonder about Xizor's big plan. Can't you hear it now. Emporer: What is your brilliant plan? Xizor: We'll place a bounty on someone and let everyone fight over him. Ha Ha Ha! I am just too good. Emporer: That is the stupidest plan I have ever heard. Xizor: I wasn't finished. The bounty on this guy will be really big. At this point Darth Vader begins to choke Xizor. One last thing, what is the sentient weapon that feeds on human spirits mentioned on the back. It got my curiosity up and then I finfished the book and realized I still knew nothing.
Rating: Summary: well, I read 2 so I may as well read 3 Review: This is a boring book. Again, the premise is interesting, but the story goes nowhere. More fodder for SW fans impatient for Episode 2.
Rating: Summary: Not really good Review: I read the three books in the Bounty Hunter Wars Trilogy and this was the worst one. It was boring and I was glad when it was over. I don't known about the 'everyone scheming against eveyone'thing.
Rating: Summary: well, i looked for action and found none Review: Ok, so the first Bounty Hunter Wars book had quite a bit of action, but it still put me to sleep, but this book, this book is an insane lack of action, if you want more action, just go make yourself a milkshake or sandwich or something. i think that this should be the worlds most powerful sleeping pill. Now if you don't want action and you want to read about Vader and Xizor fighting, and you want some sort of a braintwister, then this book is for you, but overall, i'd stick to getting it from the library, or borrowing it from a friend who had the missfortune of buying.
Rating: Summary: Yaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!! Review: Well, let me begin by saying if you are looking for a great book to send you off to dreamland this is it! I have read many of the Star Wars novels and this series takes the cake for the slowest reading, most confusing, and biggest waste of money. I was looking forward to a book that gave me a background possibly on how exactly Boba Fett came to be, and who he is. Guess what? That didnt happen in this series. I was thoughly bored. I have read many novels and have found myself on a few where I couldn't put it down because I was enthrawled with the story. This series I couldn't wait to put it down. I strongly suggest if they are going to take a character that didn't play a large part of a movie and glorify him, they give a better background and up the tempo. Well, off to bed....aww too bad I can't sleep. Guess I'll have to take my nytol (AKA reread the first chapter of this series.)
Rating: Summary: Entertaining... Review: I read the novel versions of the three Star Wars movies but I've never read any of the dozens of Star Wars-related novels that have been written by other authors over the years. So, if these aren't as good as others that are out there, I wouldn't know. The primary draw for me was that the story revolved around my favorite SW character, the enigmatic Boba Fett. And I wasn't disappointed in the read. I enjoyed the entire trilogy, though I could've done without the sappy ending in the final book.
Rating: Summary: good book Review: The slave ship was a good book it developed the whole story of neelah and her conection to bobba fett overall the ction was great
