Rating: Summary: Good Story; Too Slow Review: I felt I was obligated to read this after I read the third one and the first one (in that order), and I did enjoy most of it, but I felt that it was paced much too slowly. Jeter spends page after page repeating the same information, reiterating himself ten or twenty times as if his readers were [...] and could not figure out what he meant the first time he said it. Also, there is not enough focus on the hunters. Jeter spends way too much time talking about Xizor and Kuat of Kuat and all these people that barely have anything to do with the plot. If he wanted to write about them, he should have have made another series and left this one to the bounty hunters. I also think that the end of the book, when Fett betrays Zuckuss, that it was Jeter's mistake. Fett may be a bounty hunter that cares only about credits, but he has more honor than to stab a partner in the back. I recommend that you read this one quickly and try not to dwell on it, so you can get to the final book, Hard Merchandise, which is very good.
Rating: Summary: This book was the best i ever read Review: At first i though it would be a normal 3 day read book. but when i started reading i knew it would be a great book. I always like bounty hunters and star wars so it was great for both. Right after i finished i put down the book and ran to the store to buy the two other Maundrillian armor and Hard Merchandice.
Rating: Summary: Too much info and way to slow Review: I had high hopes for this book. I had just finished The Mandalorian Armor and was very impressed with it. About 1/3 of the way through Slave Ship I began to wonder what the author was thinking. Some of the chapters seemed to strecth from one side of the galaxy to the other and explained nothing but boring dribble to the reader. I had to set the book down several times just to rest my eyes and wonder why that chapter was even in the book. Boba Fett is what the books are supposed to be about but this book ended up being about Jeter's longwindedness. I really want to read the next in the series because Boba Fett is such a unigue character.... but after this, I think Jeter has talked me out of it.
Rating: Summary: Slightly Dark Star Wars Review: Vaguely, the dark tone to this book reminds me of The Black Fleet Crisis, an exceptional Star Wars series. This book, and the other two in the series are more realistically geared than other Star Wars books. While the 'Noble, infallible Republic' books are great, a dose of realism is good. This series does not completely coincide with the rest of the Star Wars universe, though only hardcore Star Wars readers will notice it, or care. In my opinion, this is one of the best Star Wars book series out there, the darkish realism (not just anti-Imperial) giving a realistic edge to A Galaxy Far, Far Away.
Rating: Summary: An all out Explosion! Review: This book surely has alot of great info. that I didnt even know. I could barely put this book down. But, some points of the title were a bit sluggish, due to the on-going battle scenes when they didnt even exist. I would rate this book below:Quality-4 Layout-3+ Idea of the story:4
Rating: Summary: Long, slow, and boring! Review: This book was better than the first, however it's still boring! Characters are written badly, and there's way too much time spent inside their heads. It's like the author doesn't trust readers to pick up on things for themselves, so everything is spelled out. The flow, if you could call it that, is interrupted by wordy descriptions, most of which contain large and unnecessary words. What is meant to be exciting plot twists are boring and confusing. I think if a different author had taken this project on it could have become quite wonderful, but the style of Jeter is terrible. It's hard to get into and hard to understand. There's way to many character views to keep track of, not to mention the jumping from 'Now' to 'Then'. Even a serious Star Wars fan, such as myself, can find little enjoyment in this Trilogy. Unless you are a HUGE fan of Boba Fett, I'd reccommend skipping this book, or borrowing it from your library or a friend. It's definately not worth spending your money on.
Rating: Summary: Another good book by K.W.Jeter Review: A great continuation of the first book in the series! Some of Boba Fett's tricks are really cool, and in the parts during SW: A New Hope, there's a lot action, some of it effecting the parts just after SW: Return of the Jedi. I'd recommend it to any Boba Fett fan, or Star Wars fan, in general.
Rating: Summary: Great book! Review: I recommend reading this trilogy. It teaches you many aspects that you learn, such as how Boba Fett thinks. It is interesting to see how he does things from his mind, because you always see him as a mysterious character. Many books do not talk too much about him, which is why this trilogy is interesting. It shows you how he thinks, works, and does things. It kept me turning the pages.
Rating: Summary: Quite boring Review: The chapters on Kuat of Kuat were too boring to read so I skipped them all. Other than that, the rest of the chapters on Boba Fett were quite interesting.
Rating: Summary: What book are you talking about Review: I can't believe the other reviewers said those things. This is a fantastic book for Boba Fett fans like me, I liked learning more about Fett. I think this book is fantastic and youshould give it a try.
