Rating: Summary: I suppose I am in the minority on this? Review: I read a great deal of SF-fantasy genre novels, and this is one of my favorites. I started with Hinlein and moved through Brooks , Jordan, Goodkind and now Stackpole. I recently took time from my college studies to spend time on this book. I heard of Stackpole because my mother used to live across the street from him, and I've never been disappointed with his work!

Rating: Summary: Good Book, Needs Clarification Review: I read the book, a couple of months ago. the story captivated me, however, the terms used, and the landscape were a little hard to follow. A map and a glossary with defenitions and pronunciations would help. Otherwise, it was a wonderful book. I look forward to reading the next one.
Rating: Summary: An Interesting Story with a good ending Review: I really enjoyed this book. Even though some say that it may have used too many words from modern language it made the book a little more understandable. After reading this book I read Talion: Revenent which is even a better book then this one. I thought the twist at the end was a good idea and action kept the story interesting all the way through.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books i've read Review: Locke is a child who goes into the big city in search of his destiny. when he gets there it's all adventure. While reading this i felt like I was the one traveling in Chaos. And the ending, What a trip. I'm sure you all will be suprised at the twist! Also read the Second book, I thought the idea of someone from our age traveling into thier realm was awesome.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Review: Loved it. Stackpole created an exceptional world in A Hero Born. His storytelling was so amazing and so vivid that in my estimation, A Hero Born will become a masterpiece of Fantasy literature.
Rating: Summary: A brand new storyline... Review: Once again, Michael Stackpole brings us an original and captivating work. I never even saw the ending coming. Outstanding.
Rating: Summary: Good start...where is the end? Review: This book is pretty good...very readable. Only problem with this book is that it is a start of a Trilogy that does not end. The second book does not have the main character in it but is also a very readable book despite the shift of spotlight.

Rating: Summary: A Good Read Review: This book is very well written. The main character Locke is very appealing and I enjoyed seeing how he thought through problems and discovered who he was. The story is a little too typical and doesn't present anything that makes me want to know more about this world and its people. This book was good enough to be worth the time but not great enough to make me want more. M. Stackpole has another book Talion:Revenant which is an excellent book and very much worth reading.
