Rating: Summary: The spot light is on you, Tatooine! Review: I'm 12 years old, and a large Star Wars fan! I'v read books from some of the great writters of Star Wars (Kevin J. Anderson,A. C. Crispin and Timothy Zhan). TALES FROM THE MOS EISELY CANYINA is one of the best books. The reason that I gave it five stars is because it is like a peanut and butter sandwicth put together, because your reading stories starting from the cantina or ending at the cantina, 16 stories all mushed together. It's a great book, one you'll like even if you don't like Star Wars.
Rating: Summary: Pretty Good Book Review: I'm a very big Star Wars fan,and I love to read the books. I wont lie this one wasn't the best. I like reading about some of the people from the cantina, but some of the stories were boring. If you can make it through the boring ones you love the rest. The Stromtrooper tale is probably the best. It starts with a man Davin Felth going to train to be a Stromtooper. Then he was going to be a AT-AT piolt, and ends up being a Stromtooper. Thats the only bad thing about the stroy is he goes from one thing to the other. It does tell much of what happens in the middle. Other than that it was great. If your a die hard Star Wars fan read this book, if your not you will probably waste your time and not finish it. Bill Smith (CYRI06 its a i and a zero)
Rating: Summary: A page turner... Review: If this book had been taken from any other scene it would have been a disaster. But the motley cantina scene provides this book with ample ammunition. The cool part is you can kind of pick and choose the order you read the short stories, it doesn't really matter. The standouts are the Hammerhead's Tale, the Sand Farmer's Tale, and the Stormtroopers Tale. But don't get me wrong, the rest are all excellent. A fantastic read.
Rating: Summary: I found all the tales of... books very interesting Review: It was very unique of Mr.Anderson to go in-depth with all the cantina characters. When I first got a glance of them in Star Wars:A New Hope I had no idea I'd ever see them again. A great book that I couldn't put down. A must for an Anderson fan!
Rating: Summary: Stories combine together in this book. Review: It`s cool to read the background stories of all the creatures
inside the Cantina, when you only got a glimpse of them in
the movie. The one bad thing about this book is that even though
there are many stories, you have to read them together and can
not jump around in the book. Overall, Star Wars fans will like this one.
Rating: Summary: Great Review: Lots of Stories and most of them are goo
Rating: Summary: Sentimental and Strong Writing About Characters' Backgrounds Review: Most of the Star Wars books are just too juvenile for me to get into, but this book of short stories, especially "The Hammerhead's Tale", was both witty and moving.
Rating: Summary: Proves how much detailed is the star wars universe. Review: One of the best Star wars books i've ever read.
The book shows the same scene from many viewpoints and behind each viewpoint lies an interesting story. A must for Star wars and SciFi fans.
Rating: Summary: a behind the scenes look Review: remember all those aliens you saw in the Cantina now learn their interesting stories. This book was very good and if you didn't like one story you have another story to look foward to many great authors contributed to this book
Rating: Summary: Hey, it's got the Star Wars name! Review: Star Wars: Tales of the Cantina is exactly that. Remember all those goofy characters we saw in Star Wars: A New Hope during the cantina scene? Even those that were only on-screen for five seconds now have their own chapter in this book. This is an awesome extension to the Star Wars galaxy, opening new insight on the different species and races that inhabit it. The stories themselves tie in very well with the Star Wars trilogy and are written with enough fast-pace to keep you entertained. If you're a big fan of the Star Wars movies, then there's no doubt you'll like this book.
