Summary: Flinx in holding pattern
Review: A good read but after raising many fascinating questions about Flinx and his universe in the preceding books, ADF proceeds to answer absolutely none of them in this book. I love Flinx and Pip, I will read anything he chooses to write about them, but I was disappointed by this book. It mainly functions for me as a promisory note, that Mr. Foster is still thinking about Flinx, and intends to continue writing about him as a character. Worth reading if you love Flinx, but it's just not quite up to the standards of the others because it's running in place.

Summary: Follow Flinx & Pip throughout the jungles of MIDWORLD!
Review: Ahh...more Flinx..How can we ever get enough of our favourite mutant Flinx? Can he survive the rigors of Midworld? Have you read Midworld yet? Check it out first, and then come back and get MID FLINX You'll have a hard time putting the book down..I didn't

Summary: The return of Flinx and Pip
Review: Alan Dean Foster uses the background of his previous novel, Midworld, to set up Flinx and Pip's latest adventure. While I found the book hard to put down (at least in the middle of the story), I was disappointed by the ending, and by the dropped hints about the next work to come ( I am assuming there is another adventure in the works).

Summary: foster is unparalleled in developing "settings extrodinaire"
Review: Alan Dean Foster's real genius lies in developing a setting that almost makes plot and character development take a back seat. While both are done quiet nicely, the uniqueness of "Midworld" is what makes "Mid-Flinx" a marvelous read

Summary: Flinx finds new friends and saves them as they save him
Review: Flinx ends up in Midworld after fleeing a planet being chased by a local merchant/crazy who for some reason feels he must possess Pip. As usual, Flinx finds new friends and saves them as they save him. The Midworld flora and fauna were very interesting, however, the whole story was a little thin. Basically, Flinx ponders the reality of the great evil he has learned of, while admiring the beauty of this new planet. Obviously, Mid-Flinx is merely a placeholder while Foster ponders how to wrap up his big idea about the nature of evil. Also, this is the last Flinx book to date...so it doesn't look like we'll find out the answer for a while.

Summary: Great story in a new and unusual setting
Review: Flinx is in trouble again. Can he survive and excape Mid-World? I can't wait for the next volumn.

Summary: A compelling and logical addition to the Flinx series
Review: Foster returns to the Thranx-Human Commonwealth in this continuation of the Flinx and Pip series that expands his tale of Midworld, the sentient green world. The plot expands on the growth and maturation of Flinx in his ever continuing quest to discover his heritage and his future potential. Some tantalizing hints are given about his future role in the universe in the process of his discovery and exploration of Midworld. The description of Midworld wild- and tame-life are as fascinating and as riveting as Foster ever is

Summary: where's the next one?
Review: I am a hopelessly captured Flinx fan! I also have always loved the classic Foster novel Midworld. When these two concepts collided, what could be better? Mid-Flinx was a fantastically fun book with a lot of surprises! I can't wait for Foster's next Flinx epic! It just keeps getting better and better!
