Summary: Very Good Trilogy
Review: I found it a bit difficult to get into the story at the begining, as it was a bit boring, but once I got about a quarter of the way through the first book, I couldnt stop reading. I honestly dont know why people are talking trash about these books ... I liked them. This trilogy is definitely worth reading, especially if you're a fan. They may not be as good as the original Thrawn Trilogy by Timothy Zahn, but what really is?

Anyway, the Black Fleet Crisis, and more specifically this final, climatic chapter of the trilogy, are one of the better Star Wars books I've read so far.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The entire trilogy rocks!
Review: I loved this trilogy! The cover paintings were great, I loved the plot, the new characters had great personality, and throwing Luke and Leia's mother into the mix, genius.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Is it really nessicary to include every charactor?
Review: I really loved the plot involving the problems with Viceroy Nils Sparr, and felt that was one on the best contribution to the Star Wars Library so far. But Lando and the droids little cross galaxy jaunt had no real relationship to the main plot, it seemed like just a trick to include those charactors, the same goes for the majority of Luke's quest for his mother. ... (Still I have to recommend this series, it's an excellent read, with great charactor developement, and the ending doesn't negate that.)

Summary: Lets down expectations
Review: I started the Black Fleet Crisis books interested. As the trilogy progressed, however, the book got more turgid, the characters acted less and less like their movie counterparts, and the plot got more and more ridiculous. I might have given this book two stars if the first book hadn't given me such high hopes for the series.

Summary: good, maybe not great, but good.
Review: I think this is a very good trilogy. The second book's three section split between Lando, Luke, and Leia probably wasn't all that "booklike", but it made you want to get the next book and read it to find out what happens. Over all I think it was a very good trilogy. I would recomend to all my fellow Star Wars fans.

Summary: Good, but plot lines disconnected
Review: I thought this book was a good wrap up for the series, and overall the series was well written and imaginative. However, I felt that several of the plot lines didn't properly connect in the end. The only similarity being the appearence of one character, rather than an emersive overlying story. If you like Star Wars novels, this book will be good, and you will enjoy it. If not, you might want to look into something else. Also, some people might be slighlty disturbed (like me) by the "Don't kill a fly" even if its gonna kill you attitude some of the characters have.

Summary: A terrific finish to a fine trilogy
Review: I was really impressed at the depth of this book, in fact, this whole trilogy by Kube-McDowell. His books are very human and real. In this book, we get an intimate look at Luke in his dealing with the violent aspects of the Force and a look at Leia as a stateswoman, wife and mother. The action in the book is spellbinding and will keep you on the edge of your seat. But the real gem of this book is the way that Kube-McDowell takes you on an adventure to explore the human spirit.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: McDowell seems afraid to change the Star Wars Universe
Review: In the final book of the Black Fleet Crisis Trilogy, there are a few too many questions left unanswered. For example, the suspected Elomin spy in Shield of Lies never appears, or is given any thought to. And Senator Peramis never is caught, as if New Republic Intellegence forgot about him. Also, in most other trilogies, authors usually develop both a good guy and a bad guy. For example, Timothy Zahn introduces Mara Jade and Grand Admiral Thrawn. Kevin J. Anderson introduces Admiral Daala and Kyp Durron. A.C. Crespin has Teroenza and Brea. But who does McDowell have? Nil Spaar and who? Tarrick and Alole? Everyone else has been introduced well before the story was written.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: For Cryin out loud
Review: Kube-mcDowell seemed reluctant to have a final confrontation. He needs to writ e a fourth Black Fleet crisis in which they recapture the vagabond, Nil spaar returns and attempts to assassinate Leia, and The Black fleet returns.
