Summary: Immerse yourself in a new universe
Review: This text occurs approximately in the middle of the series of Recluce novels. This happened to be the first of the series that I read, buut I have since read them all (6 times!). I thought this was Modesitt's best story line, because it best describes the concepts of Recluse (Order) from Chaos' point of view. As in all the author's books of this series, great attention is given to character development. Every reader can probably identify with at least one character. I could not put this one down, and ended up reading all of it in one night. Like a good dessert, I was sorry when I was finished!

Summary: Modesitt, true to form
Review: Well, I have just about every book Modesitt has written. I like his writing style, the pace of his storry and his darker heroes. Generally Modesitt never explicitly states what his characters are doing/feeling (he gives enough detail for us to draw our own conclusions), in all of his other books this was fine. Somehow it was a bit tired in this book. I like this world he's created, I'd like protagonists that didn't just do what the heroes in the other books did, but in a different time/place. I'll buy his next book so I suppose that says it all.

Summary: Is alute you, Mr. Modesitt. . .
Review: Well...what can I say? This series has it all... adventure, politics, romance and action, all at just the right spots. The series takes on a new depth as Modesitt begins taking in the view of the White Wizards of Fairhaven and showing their motivations. The Colors of Chaos is a powerful addition to a wonderful series. Read them all and buy them all...they are definitely ones for the collection.

Summary: Incredible Book
Review: What can I say... There really is exactly one thing bad about this book.
That it ends...

A truly great book written from a truly great writer...

And for those who already read it... It is incredible how thw author dispays the actions of the Whites. I found Cerryl much more caring than the now seemingly selfish Dorrin...

A great book!
