Summary: Demon Awakens: Action packed and never a dull moment
Review: RA Salvatore has done it again! The Demon Awakens is a beautifully written book with a well realized magical system and a vibrant world as a backdrop. The true force, however, is the characters. Every reader can easily identify and empathize with these well drawn characters. The battle between good and evil is sometimes grey, but three unlikely heros form a bond that will touch the reader from cover to cover! This is perhaps Mr. Salvatore's finest work since the "Dark Elf trilogy", the inside cover touts and everyone who is a fan of fantasy should take these words to heart. This world is a fantasy readers dream come true, with all the elements that draws the classical fantasy reader. This book and the books following is a must read for all fantasy fans and even readers not familiar with the fantasy realm. Kudo's to Mr. Salvatore!

Summary: Judged a book by it's cover, and was glad I did.
Review: I wanted something to read... so I wandered over to the library and browsed through some new fiction. I thought the cover art on this one looked good, so I picked it up. I'd never read anything by Salvatore before.

I was blown away by the depth of this book. The characters are devloped tremendously (unfortunately, Salvatore lets them lapse into stock characters with the sequel to this book). Everything else is on par with what I look for in a fantasy. Plus, it's not too long, so you can finish it in a weekend :)

I'd recommend this one to anybody.

Summary: Keeps you glued to the book till the explosive end.
Review: The Demon Awakens a must read for any Salvatore fan. It introduces us to new lands and heros. Ones that you will love as much as anything Salavtore has ever written. It takes us through the lives of two kids who have lost everything and fight back to become the heros of the time. Also a young man who goes off to become a monk and finds things are not always the way they seem. When they join forces they are unstopable. The fights and adventures of these 3 keep you glued to the book till the explosive end. You would be doing yourself a injustice if you did not read this book.

Summary: This is a creative new work at its best
Review: This is a different book then I am used to reading. There are no magicians, no sorcerors, no armies being drawn into war. This is book about people, surviving a holocaustic event, and thrown into a battle ages old for the survival of humanity. These are a people not like our own, with politics unlike our own. I like this book because it is a believeable and stands out amomgst the other socercery and swords books.

Summary: A must buy book for any fantasy reader!!
Review: To put it simply, this is an awesome book. The growth of the characters and the surprises that they find along the way make this a worthwhile book. R.A. Salvatore has started another masterpiece!!

Summary: Unoriginal?! Pshaaww!! The best book ever written!!
Review: Salvatore has simply written the finest book known to man in the form the THE DEMON AWAKENS. Salvatore provides a fresh outlook on life through the "fantasy" world of Corona. A lot of people give Salvatore's books no credit but I gues the curse of being a genius is to be ridiculed by the ignorant. Most people don't like the book because it is too dificult for them to read and fully grasp, and thus they have an insignificant understanding and become frustrated. When I first read the book, I became entranced by his mesmorizing writing and I seriously finished the book in one 6 hour sitting of non-stop reading. The first book to EVER be able to keep me reading for more than an hour at a time. A lot of people say that Elbryan = Drizzt and that Pony = Cattie-Brie, but let me ask you one thing.... Where is there ANY simularity? Elbryan and Drizzt are both Rangers who kick butt. That is the only thing I can see that's the same. They have differant attitudes, differant styles, differant everything. Pony and Cattie-Brie are both Females. There is no other Simularity. NONE.

But possibly the best aspect of this book is the way Salvatore mimics real life in fantasy through his book. This book, if you look close enough and get into the book enough, really shows you a new way to look at the world around us. A lot of people will never get to enjoy or even appreciate this aspect because they do not allow themselves to get into the book, and that is just a tragedy as they miss so much.

This book is definately the best book ever written and I only wish I could give it MORE than 5 stars!!

Summary: Demon vs. Elbryan
Review: RAS's first in the Demon War series, but it's already got me hooked on it! Elbryan and Pony are very unforgettable characters, as well as Avelyn (ho,ho, what! =) Elbryan spends his youth with the elves and learns to be a ranger. The elves teach him their way of looking at the world (which really makes you think). As with all the RAS books, there are masterful battles; with evil powries and goblins and giants (and lets not forget the Demon...;) The centaur Bradwarden is one of my favorite chatacters of the book. He's funny and sensible and everything. Overall, a great book that leaves you wanting more more More!

Summary: A Trilogy in one volume
Review: The Demon Awakens covers as much ground as most trilogies. Several characters have the time to develop from novice to kick-butt master.

Salvatore also creates a new system for magic that is pretty interesting. The prose was really good, too.

This was a great book, and I'd definitely recommend it to people who like fantasy.
