Rating: Summary: Master work! Review: A great book written by a great author. . . Salvatore goes beyond my expectations. He makes you laugh and cry at will. A promissing new world, finaly away from the TSR hands and with the freedom of speech. . .congratulations for this wonderful book.
Rating: Summary: A very worthy addition to the fantasy library Review: THis book was great. No kidding and the book earns everyone of those five stars I gave it. If you enjoy fantasy or even have the slightest interest in it then I suggest you check out this book and the numerous others that RA Salvatore has written. This was the first RA salvatore book I read and I read it a while back but it has stuck with me. The whole demon wars trilogy is fantastic. Not the usual sluggishness that comes with some trilogies but stays fresh the whole way through. I was very impressed with salvatore and I'll certainly be looking more his way the next time I want a great fantasy read. The characters weren't weak but well thought out and even minor characters came through well. The story was fast, interesting, and the detail to action let me see it as if on the big screen. I think Salvatore writes for Jon Woo on the side but seriously the bottom line is to go buy this book as soon as you finish reading this. Why are you still here reading this! Go now!
Rating: Summary: Greatest Fantasy Novel Ever Review: I don't give that award out lightly either. The characters, the events, the places, it seems all to real and life like. In this novel, Salvatore turns the cliched "Demon Tries to take over the world, but the hero stops him with the help of his love interest" into something amazing, something beyond inexplicable, something real.
Rating: Summary: Excellent read Review: This book provides an extremely compelling story written on the individual experiences of three characters. While they all meet up eventually, Salvatore continues to demonstrate the story from each individual's perspective, rather then combine them into the views of one collective party. Personally I believe that while Elbryan is the "main" character, the story is about all three of the characters, and does not center on any one real individual. All in all, I believe this book to be worth the tremendous undertaking any 600 page book offers. Expect a few weeks of strong, compelling reading. Definitely an extremely well-written novel, worth any fantasy readers time.
Rating: Summary: Finally a book with substance Review: Salvatore finally broke free from his Crimson Shadow Genre and wrote a stunning piece of literature. The way the three characters develop individually over what appears to be something like seven or eight years and then mesh together amazed me. Although I believe the Demon Dactyl could have been developed on. I know, it sounds odd, but literature is just more fun when the bad guy isn't mean just because that's his job, but because he has a reason to be. Overall, though, the book was an excellent read, and I'm sure Salvatore fans will agree.
Rating: Summary: Fantasy at its best! Ho,Ho,What! Review: This book is by far on my top 5 list of the fantasy genre. It contains everything a well written book should and more. The way the author brings all the characters together is great. Not one page is boring and every scene is interesting. This book keeps you turning the pages and is a must read for anyone. I am waiting anxiously for the next. Ho, Ho, What !
Rating: Summary: Three Stories, One ending Review: I loved this book for a lot of reasons. One thing i liked about this story is how it took the three main charactors (pony, elbryan and avelyn) and told all three of their stories before bringing them together towards the 3/4 mark. All the charactors were well developed and secondary charactors like Bradwarden the centaur had a special spark to them, and were not just filler charactors. The PLot made sense and was cohesive throughout the book. So another hit for Salvatore
Rating: Summary: ARE WE ALL READING THE SAME BOOK! Review: This book started off well. The discription of the raid, the pain and confusion Salvatore so expertly conveyed was some of his best work to date. The rest of the book, and the trilogy?...Blew chunks. Elbryan was so predictable it made me ill. Salvatore completely over shot the most interesting character. Pony! The fight scene when she was on watch! Excellent! Salvatore should have centered the book solely around her, because Elbryan was truly a waste.
Rating: Summary: awesome Review: I am a reader a collector of the fantasy genre and was completely blown away by this book and R.A. Salvatore literary skills and story development. Buy this series at all cost and enjoy
Rating: Summary: a very grasping book w/ excellent descriptions of fights Review: I liked this book very much. It had a grip on me that I couldn't let go and I barely stopped till I finished. An excellent choice for fantasy lovers.
