Rating: Summary: A review of the entire trilogy Review: Gee uummm let me see here..... Rabe's characters are obviously immortal since almost every character lives through impossible odds. I'll give the examle of when a small group of warriors successfully destroy seven knights of Takhisis ships and no one is dead. The plot is also shallow (I won't go into that though, since everyone else already has). However I ike the great dragon overlord idea. But too many things that could have been good went bad.
Rating: Summary: Horrible Review: This book was just horrible. No plot, no character development, and then there's the stupid fight scenes. I wonder if Jean Rabe could write a worse book.
Rating: Summary: ::finishes the book, reads in amazement, then barfs:: Review: OH my gosh.........the trilogy started out being not-so-bad...but now! The ending of this book was worst I have seen in any book ever. All the ends are left untied. Who is Fury? What will happen to Malys? Will Dhamon & Feril end up together? Is Khellendros dead or stuck in the Gray? And when is Blister gonna stop using her stupid gloves?!? Utterly horrible!
Rating: Summary: Great new characters, open ending Review: I was happy to see that at the conclusion to the trilogy the heroes were not able to truly best the dragons. I would have been disappointed if the dragons were so wimpy a group of humans and elves could have done them in. Plus, I liked Khellendros gaining the power you figured Malystryx would have gained. And I liked that it left room for more stories at the end.
Rating: Summary: blah..blah Review: The little characters on stumble around and manage to find some magical artifacts. Good for them, obviously they're the luckiest people alive. Since they obviously have no clue as to what they're doing. Palin seems to have changed; his personality is completely different now. Well, that's insignificant considering that all the characters are abnormal.
Rating: Summary: Ugh! Review: Oh dear. Just when I thought things couldn't get worse... The conclusion of the trite artifact-hunt which has been the focus of this trilogy sees the Great Dragons being uncharacteristically co-operative in helping Malystryx acheive her aims. The Shadow Sorcerer's true colours are revealed (what a surprise...), and our inept adventurers--still searching for personalities--find themselves confronted by all five Great Dragons at once. Rabe's storytelling is still boring, Blister's glove-changing still gets on my nerves, and this is an awful way to end a trilogy which started abyssmally enough in the first place.
Rating: Summary: Horrible Review: This has got to be one of the worst books that I have ever read. It is just plain horrible! I like the ideas, but those ideas just weren't executed correctly. I think that Weis and Hickman should have continued where they left off with Dragons of Summer Flame. Instead of letting someone else run with their idea and just about ruin it.
Rating: Summary: What this isn't finished. Review: This would be better if it was finished, I like the charactors I like some of the ideas but theres no style or feeling to these books. I am so glad that weis and hickman are doing the next ones.
Rating: Summary: A dishonor to the world of Krynn Review: My love affair with the world of Krynn began 9 years ago when I was in the fifth grade. I picked up the Chronlicles and nver looked back. I own most of the dragonlance books and have spent countless hours lost in the world of Ansalon. This book, however, dishonors the vision of Weis and Hickman. It is without a doubt the worst of the series. This books lacks all of the depth of the earlier books. The character are transparent stock types. The world has none of the life, the vibrancy, the realness porteayed in the earlier novels. The plot is practically non-existent. In short, this book is a hollow shell which capitalizes on the reputation of its name. It is the best example of the cheap commercialized, lets make another buck , philosophy which has guided many of the later books. For anyone really interested in a good story I recommend the Chronicles, the Legends, The Elven Nations Trilogy, and The legend of Huma. Of all 80 books these are the ones which truly capture the heart and soul of the world.
Rating: Summary: Eeeeeew!!!! Review: One of the worst Dragonlance or Fantasy books i have ever read (if not THE worst). The characters are so shallow that it reminds me of those children fairy tales. The plot is laughable. The author has dishonored Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis. Let's hope this will be her last DL book. Anyone who loves this book should try to read the old Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis books before they give their reviews!!!!!
