Rating: Summary: GREAT! Review: This book was about a boy who hears that the girl he loves isin danger, and decides he must go save her, even though his beloveddragon heart's blood has just given birth to 5 baby dragons. This is a wonderful book that I think any lover of dragons should read. You can really get into it, and feel the story, cry and laugh. This book kept me riveted, and I couldn't wait to get the next book in the series: A Sending of Dragons.

Rating: Summary: The Best Book Review: This book was one of the best books I have ever read. I read alot, I mean reading is basiclly my whole life! My family and I were in the book store one day and said she would buy us all one book. One book? How was it possible to choose? There were so many! I started to scan the sci-fi/fantasy section(my personal favorite genre) when I came to a book called Dragon's Blood. I love fantasy, adventure, mid-evil, dragons kind of stuff so I stopped to read the back. When I finished, I was certain this was the right book to choose. I took it home and read it in 2-3 days. I couldn't put it down. The word choice was excellent, because even though I'm only 13, I understood everything. I couldn't stop thinking and talking about it so my older sister read it. She loved it too. (...) I knew there were more books after Dragon's Blood. This was my chance to use it! I can't wait for my new books to come in the mail! If you are reading this and havn't read these books, I seriously recomend you do a.s.a.p. All books have effects on your life, this one made me wonder if there really is another planet with dragons!
Rating: Summary: An exciting book of the twists and turns of growing up. Review: This book was truly excellent. It described perfectly the confusion and whirling of Erikin's mind and of the confusion of Heart's Blood. Yet it still kept a calm tone so as not to frighten you. This book was and still is a treasured book, kept dear in my heart.
Rating: Summary: This book is awesome!! Review: This is a great book! I really liked how it was very fast moving, exciting, and how vividly Jane Yolen described it all.
Rating: Summary: Heart's Blood Review: This is one of the best books I have ever read. This is the second book in a trilogy written by Jane Yolen called "The Pit Dragon Trilogy". I read the first book "Dragons Blood" which is also excellent. The book is very interesting and her descriptions of what is going on makes you feel like you are actually there. The author makes you feel so close to the people and the dragons and gives the dragons almost human traits. The main dragon in the book is Heart's Blood and when you read about her you almost wish you could have a baby dragon. The main character in the book is a boy named Jakkin and he has raised the dragon from an egg. They can read each others minds and have a very strong bond. The book has alot of things that keep you interested and on the edge of your seat. This book starts off a little slower than the first book but once you get into the story you can't put it down. Jakkin starts out as a master dragon trainer which is what he has always wanted. But when the girl that he loves, Akki gets into trouble he realizes that he has to give up everything to help her. He gets involved in a world that he knows nothing about and that is when the story gets exciting. This is a book that when it ends you feel like you are going to miss the characters. I can't wait to start the third book!
Rating: Summary: Heart's Blood Review: This is the longest, and probably the most intricate story in the Pit Dragons trilogy. It takes us out of the small confines of the dragon nursery, and into the complex and dangerous world of the wider Austarian society and its relationship with the Galaxian Federation.Having freed himself from the bond-slave caste, Jakkin goes in search of his beloved Akki, who has become involved in the dangerous power-struggles of the planet, through her association with the enigmatic Senator Golden. Jakkin and his dragon, Heart's Blood (who has just had five hatchlings), go to the planet's capital - Rokk Major, where Akki has been spying on a group of rebels who oppose the caste system. He eventually finds her, but by this time they are both trapped in the middle of a terrifying plot that threatens the entire society of the dragon planet. As with the other two books, it conveys empathy for the characters which is powerful and unique. The ending of this book is perhaps the most deeply moving and touching part of the whole series.
Rating: Summary: The first one was deffinently better! From SF Review: When I read the first one I was very intrigued. The first one was filled with adventure and action fitting in some humor. I could never put it down. The second was a disapointment. I found myself wishing for the chapter to be over. The humor was sarcastic and the characters have lost there flavor. Of course,it just is a quincedence that the dragon survive a venemous bite and then dies from a shot from a pistol. The only good thing about it was the action with the scene with the guns.
Rating: Summary: Fabulous, thrilling, and Romantic Review: YOu won't want to put it dow
