Rating: Summary: He did it once more... Review: A delectable follow up to Wit'ch Fire. I would exhaust the English language trying to find praise for Clemens writing, but I shall valiantly attempt nonetheless. The book, overall, is awe-inspiring. There's many reasons this is so, but what held the rest of it all together was his marvellous writing style. The descriptions, dialouge, and emotions that went on were all superior. The characters, old and new, I loved/hated just as much. The betrayer invoked my anger, the death invoked my profound sadness and shock, and the budding romance invoked my "awwww" factor ;-) Elena as a heroine/main character does a very nice job, and I think the portrayel in regards to her age were done quite well. One characters I especially liked was the Og're (was that how it was written? My copy of the book is currently inacessible, so forgive any mistakes on my part...) He was a perfect balance of Og're and human, bestial and emotional, and I found him fascinating in his own respect. His story struck a nerve in me, which made me like him all the more. The plotline was exciting and and exhilirating to follow, and I was pulled right into it. I CARED about what happened to them, and still do. Often time whilst reading it, I would give small mewls of laughter, or ululations of alarm (to the disquiet of my fellow household members). It pulled me in that much. This book stuck with me, and I've had many deep discussions regarding it with fellow readers. On a more shallow note, the cover art is bewilderingly lovely, in my opinion. I am angered to no end by ugly, vague, and totally contrasting covers that aren't even on the same level as the book setting- and people-wise. I was given great satisfaction by this cover art ;-) So, if you're looking for something deep, dark, beautiful, passionate, and positively enthralling pick up this book today by all means!!
Rating: Summary: Great, I can't wait for the next book! Review: A friend recommended 'Wit'ch Fire' and I am very glad I looked it up and read it. 'Wit'ch Storm' took much too long to get here, but was definitely worth the wait! Now I am looking forward to the the next book with Elena and her very diverse, very interesting group. The addition of the new characters kept the action moving and there was never a dull moment. Kast, Sy-wen and Flint all added their own special flavor. The magicks were so good it was like being there watching it unfold. Mr. Clemens has some imagination!
Rating: Summary: What A Book! Review: A great sequel to an amazing book(wit`ch fire).I am eagerly awaiting the third installment!
Rating: Summary: The excellence continues!! Review: After eagerly awaiting Wit'ch Fire's sequel, I was not to be disappointed. Wit'ch Storm continues the excellent characters and story development that I so very much appreciated in the first book. I continue to enjoy the individual characters and yes, unlike other sequels the plot continues to develop and get more interesting. I especially liked the new characters of Sy-wen and Kast and hope to read more about them. I very much appreciate Mr. Clemens ever developing imagination and writing technique. The reader at all times is capable of knowing what is going on, the battle scenes are especially well written so that I could easily picture every moment. This is a skill very few writers have mastered. This book has everything a reader would want: action, fantasy, humor, pathos, intrigue and yes a little romance. Thank you Mr. Clemens I look forward to your next book.
Rating: Summary: The Best Review: After reading Dr. Clemens First book I knew he was a great author. At the time he had an book-signing just at the same store I bought Witch-Fire, but not before I had read the book. I wish I had gotten his autograph. Dr Clemens 2nd book in this series is a geat book, and it is amazingly fasinating to read. I loved every work and will read it over and again. I can't wait until his next book come out. And Dr Clemens, please have another signing in South-Sacramento's Boreders Bookstore! I'd love to meet you!!
Rating: Summary: Towers above the rest of contemporary fantasy Review: After reading Witch Fire I absolutely could not believe I hadn't heard of this Clemens guy before. The book had a great story, some of the deepest and the most interesting characters I've ever seen in a fantasy novel. If anything, the sequel, Witch Storm is even better. The narrative is unbelievably tight, and the villains, oh my friend the villains are absolutely amazing.
Rating: Summary: Brilliant Review: Another amazing book! It made me laugh, and cry, bite my nails, or jump for joy. I felt like a part of the story. This is a Must-Read for fantasy lovers!

Rating: Summary: Wit'ch Storm Review: Clemens does a good job of surprising you. It was fast pace reading but kept my attention. I am awaiting the third book in this series to see where Elena and her companions are off to next and what adventures, triumphs and tradgies await them.
Rating: Summary: The go'od gets bet'ter. Review: Despite the still frustrating inclusion of the over-used apostrohpes, Clemens kicks his "Banned and Banished" series into high gear with this second book. "Wit'ch Storm," returns us to Elena and her companions, and shows them coming up against some of the first, and deeply evil, minions of the Dark Heart. Elena's powers are more thouroughly explored and developed in this sequel, and further, the supporting characters often get time of their own in this book. A few new characters make an appearance, and you get much more backstory to the evil Dark Heart and his minions, the ill'guard. If you enjoyed George R.R. Martin, Robert Jordan, or Lyn Flewelling, I'd really suggest you give this series a try. It's very well written, has a stirring plot, and if you can manage to ignore those awful apostrophes, a worthy read. The magic is very unique, written in a way different from any other fantasy story I've read, and that fresh approach to magic is a rare treat.
