Review: Jumping June-bugs! I cannot tell you what a thrill it is to be here at Amazon! Not only am I a storyteller, but I love using Amazon to find those hard-to-get books that I cannot find at my local bookstore. I hope you enjoy my story about Jimmy. Boy, does he get into a fix! Don't worry, all will end well, and he'll make a few new pals along the way too... Promise me you'll read the book aloud. I put lots of fun stuff in there to say, like: "...junk jumbilee jalopy..." and, "...the sound bounded foward..." Not to mention numerous gastro-intestinal noises which are best left to professional belchers! Thanks for reading my book, there are MUCH MORE stories on the way- I promise! -Tony D

Summary: My 3 year old loves this!!!!
Review: My 3 year old was entranced from the very first reading. The debut of this book at bed time coincided with potty training and we quickly bought some moon pies (ding dongs-but don't tell him)to give him when he went poo poo on the potty. It only took two times to finally get him completely potty trained! The point is the book's impact, not the potty training. We will no doubt read it again tonight for the 20th night in a row!!!

Summary: If my kids could write they'd cheer for this book
Review: My 4 year old and 2 year old sons adore this book. It is their favorite bedtime story. Every night we read a requested story. Out of the hundreds of choices they pick this book night after night (for a month now). I love reading it aloud and the phrases are now used in our everyday life. Write more Mr. Diterlizzi, write more.

Summary: Marvelous adventure for little boys!
Review: My 6-year-old son and I both enjoy this book tremendously. The first time I read it to him, I thought, "Wow! What an awesome adventure story for little boys!" (Or little girls, for that matter!) I purchased this book for my son when he was going through a Moonpie phase. Even though Moonpies aren't at the top of his favorites list anymore, he still loves the adventures of Jimmy Zangwow. So does Mom! Bedtime stories sure are more fun when Mom and Dad love the story as much as the child. I can very, very highly recommend this fun read for anyone in the 4-8 range.

It is about a young boy name Jimmy Zangow who absolutely loves moon pies. When his mom doesn't let him have any before dinner and sends him out to play, Jimmy goes into space with his jalopy and goes all over the universe. Follow Jimmy on his adventures from the moon, to the Milky Way, to Mars, and he even encounters the scary Grimble Grinder monster. This imaginative and creative story is definitely a must-read.

Review: The wonderful 50's feel of the illustrations adds to this delightful story of just how far a small boy will go for a Moon Pie. Jimmy's adventure takes him to the Moon (where else would you get Moon Pies?)The milky way and Mars. His search for Moon pies becomes an adventure in gaining,sharing and imagination. A total delight!

Review: There is something about the simplicity of this child's imagination and the wholesome adventure that warms the heart of the reader, young and old. The characters seem to jump off the page with the combination of crisp writing and wonderful illustrations. This became an instant winner in our household and a personal favorite of this mother of five and six year old boys!
