Rating: Summary: A Sequel for Suckers Review: This was a pathetic attempt by David Bischoff to recapture the adventure and excitement of its predecessor, "Aliens vs. Predator: Prey." It had a bad plot, unconvincing characters, and, overall, just wasn't written very well. And as far as Mr. Bischoff's comment concerning liking ALIEN Resurrection and liking this book - I don't think so. I just saw Resurrection today, and while the ending leaves something (okay, a lot!) to be desired, it's totally different (and not to mention better) than this book! My advice? Avoid. Oh yeah, and while you're at it, you can avoid his ALIENS novel, "Genocide," as well (boring)! -Ember
Rating: Summary: An excellent sequel to an excellent book Review: Hunter's Planet is the wonderful sequel to Prey, and just like the first one, this book is outstanding. Machiko Naguchi returns for the sequel and is now working for The Company after hunting for the Predators for 2 years. Very well written, great plot with many unexpected twist and turns. It has action, mystery, and even a tiny bit of romance all thrown in to make one heck of a novel. If you have read Prey, definately pick this book up because contrary to other opinions, this book is every bit as good as the first one, and having Atilla the Hun (an android) adds even more to the book. A very entertaining read. So great I read 150 pages of it in one day.
Rating: Summary: Were are the aliens Review: I really enjoyed this book but it really could have been alot better if it had aliens in it. Okay it did, obviously it had to live up to its name sake but there were only about twenty pages worth of aliens. too much pred and human. MORE ALIENS. (ALIENS RULE)

Rating: Summary: great book Review: This was the first book I read of the AvP series. I thought it was great. It tells the story of Livermore Evanston who creates a "Hunters Planet" with alterior motives and brings in the point of view of him, Machiko Noguchi, and the predators and melds it into one at the end finale. It is good has good action and overall I think gets unfair reviews by people who nit pick and read a book with the objective of expecting it to be the way they want it and not the way it is written if you can enjoy the series and read the book neutrally you will enjoy it. If you go in with the objective of reading it and expecting it a certain way you won't enjoy the book. Unfortunately many of the reviewers here don't give it a fair shake and mislead customers with their reviews.
Rating: Summary: Disappointed, but not bad Review: Its true what they say, the first one is always the best one. This book wasn't bad at all, but I was disappointed. In AvP: Prey(book 1) the authors give you a point of view on the Predators side. Here, it's not the case. It kinda goes back to the movies and only shows you or lets you know what the humans are doing, thinking, etc. There were a few small details in this book that I liked, and thought that was kool. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to know what happens to Noguchi after reading book 1.
Rating: Summary: A sequal that didn't live up to the original. Review: This book is a continuation of the story started in "Aliens vs. Predator: Prey" But unfortunately the author tried to cram to much into the number of pages in the book. We get some interesting insights into what it was like for Machiko to run with a pack of Preditors for several years. The story then bottoms out for a while and appears to be dying quickly. The author then presents us with the situation of the Aliens are being upgraded by humans to be used as weapons. The author gets Machiko to the planet where this is happening, from there the story such as it is does improve a good deal. The Preditor's show up and Machiko is now able to communicate with because of her robotic sparing partner's unnoticed "upgrades," where she explains the problem and works to clean it up with the help of the Predator's. All in all its a middle of the road read. If you really enjoyed the first book about Machiko its probably worth reading just toget the full story such as it is. But other than that it was pretty predictable.
Rating: Summary: good but not nearly good as prey Review: I find myself disagreeing with a lot of reviewers here. Most of them hate HP, but some of them actually claim that it's as good as or better than AvP:prey! What are they smoking? IMHO, Prey is MUCH better than HP, and HP is MUCH better than AvP:war (another disagreement w/ a lot of reviewers). At least HP still shows the Preds as somewhat honorable and respectable, unlike war. Just my two cents, but here's my input. I like and recommend the whole trilogy.
Rating: Summary: Nasars thought Review: A thrilling and compelling story about two alien monsters battling it out with Machiko noguchi, veteran of war, cought in the middle. An awesome read full of action and twists. If you liked Aliens vs Predator; war , you'll love this.
