Rating: Summary: Worth the wait, but not worth the effort Review: I expected Rand to take one more step towards Tarmon Gai'don, but it seems that Robert Jordan left most of what is famous about his books out of the series. Elaida is mentioned once, and All of the main characters seem to do almost nothing throughout the book. Mat is completely gone and the deal with Perrin is described but not started. Not worth the effort
Rating: Summary: i was a little disappointed with this one. Review: I noticed that the margins were bigger and that the font was a couple of sizes bigger with this book. I got the impression Robert Jordan wasn't really into this book. I too was disappointed that Mat wasn't in this book. Path of Daggers was a pale shadow to the other seven books.
Rating: Summary: Awsome! Review: I can't wait to get this book all of his other ones have been a great success. When I heard that his next book had come out I had to get it. His use of magic is most interesting and he has many good ideas that are clearly shown in his books. Don't hesitate to get this book. You won't regret it.
Rating: Summary: it is the best book i have ever read. Review: I suggest this book to anyone who loves a good fantisy read.IF you are in need of a good book this is the one I would suggest.
Rating: Summary: BOUGHT IT, READ IT, LOVED IT, READY FOR THE NEXT ONE!! Review: This series is absolutely amazing! The 8th book expands the world Robert Jordan has created and has cured my anxiety and anticipation I have had for this book for the last year and a 1/2 since I started the series. The new conflicts in this book are surprising and caught me offguard(something I love to happen to me), and now I have new things to look forward too. Well, now I will have to read the whole series again to sum up my thoughts on foreshadowed events and eagerly anticipate the ninth book!
Rating: Summary: I have waited two years for yet another lead in. Review: this book deserves four stars in camparison to other books, yet compared to the previous books in this series it deserves perhaps two. book seven was seemingly a lead in for book eight, therefore I expected book eight to have more significant and enlightening aspects. It did not. I found the reading slow, with few classic jordan battles and plot twists. Although I still eagerly await book nine I hope to be much more impressed than I was with book eight. In closing I would like like to say that I hope not to wait another nervewracking two years for the next book in the series.
Rating: Summary: A mediocre addition to the overall amazing series... Review: Frankly, I was expecting more. There's not as much to "The Path of Daggers" as the previous books. Not enough character development and less attention to detail really lessened my enjoyment. Jordan tries to maintain a number a storylines without putting enough effort into any of them. Better luck next year.
Rating: Summary: Leaves me drooling for more! Review: I eagerly awaited this book for God-knows-how-long and I can say that, overall, Robert Jordan delivers. Very well. I cracked it open Sunday afternoon and finished Tuesday morning. Gripping and fast paced, one can see the threads slowly being woven together. I am somewhat disappointed in some of the story though. Mat appears to have fallen off the face of the world. Despite this one glaring omission, this chapter of the saga was riveting, with new plot twists. Now I have to wait again for the next installment... <sob>
Rating: Summary: Definately up to the standards of Robert Jordan Review: I waited for this book for such a long time, and it lived up to almost all of my expectations. The only minor tiff I have is no mention of Mat, which is one part of the story I'd really like to see develope.
Rating: Summary: A good transition book for the series Review: This book did not seem to have as much action or non-stop reading as the other books. It seemed like it was used as sort of a go-between for The Crown of Swords and the book to come after Path of Daggers, just introducing new settings and not acting them out.I do, however, feel the last chapter was one of the best from any of the books.
