Summary: The Story is climaxing; just keep your shirts on...
Review: I have found the entire series to be one of my three favorites of all time: Hobbit/Trilogy(4), Dune(6), Wheel of Time(9+). I am surprised to see so much diappointment in the reviews I've read. It's so obvious that many events are coming to a head; let's hope Rand can maintain his to see it all through. Also, have a little patience: it's not easy to write so intricate a story quickly. I began reading the series about 7 years ago, and have read it through 3 times without ever considering putting it down. Each time I uncover another twist or remember important details I had forgotten. Just keep your clothes on, be patient, and expect nothing short of a spectacular conclusion within the next 5-7 years (I don't know about anybody else, but I have better things to do with my time than be impatient about one of the greatest series of all time). If you become antsy, read the 6 Dune books by Frank Herbert.

Summary: Get ready for an explosion!
Review: This is a great book, a little slow, but necessary to keep the story going. Unlike other fantasy authors, Jordan is well loved because he explores the minutiae of everyday life. When his characters travel (the traditional way) they spend days an days on foot whereas in other fantasy novels---you leave--you arrive---you fight---someone dies---the End! This series has been developing for over a decade into something that each and every one of us can relate to. I will admit that I had trouble getting into the flow of the story. It took me longer than usual to read the book because it had been so long since I had read the last one. (I lent it to a friend in another city so I couldn't cross-reference) I think that there is probably alot of things that happened in this book that we have not realized, that will have consequences later, good or bad!

My only complaint was the long wait for it to come out.

All in all, I think these people who did not enjoy this book and found it lacking, did not see the nuances Jordan so brilliantly tied in and therefore are not true Wheel of Timers!

How can you lose your faith?

Summary: Rand is FREAKIN' OUT MAN!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I have read some of the reviews from this book and all I have to say is that you bummin' people are sick in the head. Look at the way he is able to weave an intricate storyline and still stay on the same track. If you have ever payed attention to the little things, you would have noticed that ALOT of stuff has happened and is about to happen in the series, especially the POD. This book has answered many questions and raises new ones. It takes the Game to a whole new level. If you read between the lines like me, you would have noticed by now that within the next coupl of books, Rand is going to CRACK!!! Mat in gonna marry the Seanchan Empress. Perrin will score with both Faile AND Berelain. Moriane and Lanfear will reappear somewhere. Egwene will bond Galad and Marry Gawyn. Avienda, Min and ELayne will wed Rand and much more to boot. In any event, this was possibly the best book in the series for nuances. Maybe you people just blew a few Synapses in your brains trying to comprehend this MASTERPIECE!!!!!

Summary: Nothing exceptional, but still ok.....
Review: I mean, what are people whining about? Sure, there were only about two or three big events in this book, none of which where what I personally had hoped would occur, and Jordan did introduce some new "puzzles" without breaking up old ones. But still. Even though he is a little too fond of describing curtains, fashion and necklines, the WOT series is still enjoyable, and this book is good, even though it's not my favorite in this series...
A good buy, in my opinion. Worth the money, and then some.

Summary: End My Torment!!!!!!!!
Review: I bought "The Eye Of The World" about five years ago, and caught up with Mr. Jordan's writing about six months later. Each time I buy a new novel, I anticipate some move toward closure and then spend a couple years waiting for the next book with a little less exitement. Robert Jordan has captivated my attention for over five years, but I think that he has "milked" this series for all that it's worth. Even an author of his caliber cannot imperceptibly drag out a story for such a long period of time. Mr. Jordan, please complete this work so that I can look forward to reading your future work!!!!

Summary: Books great, hate the wait
Review: I thought this was a great book! It had a lot more action than the seventh book, which made it more exciting. I thought the ending was great, though it is frustrating that I have to wait years for the next one to come out. Rand finally decides to get a move on and start some action, which was great. Also, some exciting developments with Egwene make this book a great read. I wish Jordan had not left Perrin's situation hanging, but I guess I will just have to wait for the next book with the rest of the WOT fans.

Summary: Glad I borrowed it from the library
Review: I share the same sentiments as others who were also disappointed by POD. 6 flippin' chapters to get those annoying women to use the damn bowl?!? I was *this close* to quitting after the 3rd or 4th chapter... Where's Mat? Perrin has basically one task this book, and he doesn't even get to finish it? At least the cover art is getting a *bit* better. I'm glad I found Guy Gavriel Kay while waiting forever for this one.

Summary: Robert Jordan is still the master of fantasy novels!
Review: A Path of Daggers is one of the best novels I have read in a while. I find his ability to keep up with so many different elements of this huge story very impressive. His character are changing in some weird ways though. What happened to the cruel, tongue-whipping Nynaeve? And why is Min so wwimpy all of a sudden? However, Perrin is becoming stronger with Berlain and Faile and he really needed to stick up for himself. I really wish there would have been more mix ups with the Forsaken in APOD too. I don't think the WOT can finish in under 12 books, but I will read every one of them!

Summary: I am let down again.
Review: I have just finished Jordan's latest book, and feel I wasted my time. I found myself drifting off through most of the book because a surprising lack of interest on Jordan's part to actually want to end this series. I became thoroughly enraptured by the series when it first came out, but I cannot continue to read a storyline that just does not seem to get anywhere. The only reason I bought this last book, was because I believed he may try to end the series, or at least bring some of the situations to a head. Neither happened.

I have invested so much time over the years to not finish the series, but I may not after this last book. I almost do not give a damn to what may happen to Rand and his cohorts. It has become a struggle to get through one of his volumes.

Summary: It wasn't the best, but it was still pretty good
Review: While many of the hard-core Wheel of Time fans out there have given this book a harsh review, I believe it was pretty good. After 2 years of people complaining about the lack of action in "A Crown of Swords", this book was mostly action oriented. Sure the actual story line didn't advance all to much, but there were a few interesting and surprising developments. Also, major turning points in the series were brought to the forefront, setting up Book 9 to finally resolve some major issues. All in all, it was very engrossing and intelligent read.
