Summary: Amazing
Review: It took me a little while to get into it, mostly because the beginning confused me(how it tells the beginning of the main characters lives), but once I got over the bumps i was hooked. Had to rush out and buy the second one (borrowing money from a friend, since i'm always broke, hehe) Very much recommended by me, so go out and buy it!

Summary: Exiles = Excellent!
Review: Melanie Rawn has never failed to awe me! This book was a bit confusing, with geneology and everything, but in all, it took me to a world that I could hold onto in my mind and picture everything as it happened. I cried, laughed, raged and embraced.

Summary: stunning (literally)
Review: This book is so awesome, and has many cool surprises - like the fact that the women rule the world! I mean, what a ridiculous, unheard of notion! I really like the characters, and disagree with the person who wrote one line earlier saying they were one-dimensional. Strong female characters and sexy-looking men - that's all your average fantasy reader needs! Very highly recommended. I've never seen one book get so many five-star reviews!

Summary: Brilliant
Review: I must admit, this was the first book of Rawn's that I have ever read, and I picked it up simply because it was the thickest book on the book store shelf that I had not read yet. It is beautiful. The plot gets a little boggy at time when the author explains heritage, and a few of the name are a little too similer, but that was my only complaint. The idea of this society run completly by women is interesting, (In response to a comment placed before, women are in power because of their ability to bear children, as we find out in the next book) and Rawn carries it well in this brilliant book. The story is filled with characters you can really wrap your head (and heart) around, in particular, I found my self caring for two of them, Alin and Val, as I world my own two brothers, the love between them is something we all aspire to have one day. However, a word of warning, if you have no sense of humor this might not be a book for you, sometimes men are seen in a rather, shall we say, unique light. Also, be forwarned, if you fall in love with this series, you should know that the third is indefinatly delayed, pending the completion and release of another book by Rawn (Divination) so plan to read the two that are out over and over until they fall apart, I have!

Summary: Where's the next one?
Review: Okay, I read this and the second book ages ago, and I loved them both. But I'm starting to forget it all! How soon is the third book coming out?

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Too long , one dimensional characters
Review: I found the world of exiles interesting if not very original. But the story was very slow, and the characters are not very well worked.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Exiles...wow!
Review: I have to say...after reading this book, if kinda made me think more highly of women. The fact that the women control the government in this book is quite interesting. And the whole Lord of Malerris and Mage Guardian idea is very cool. I am certain that the third book will be the best of them all. I just finished reading the the second one...so...I hope to see the third book of the Exiles series soon!
